The pen lights up when it is placed over the right answer on the cards that the pen was created for. My youngest grandson loves it! It's great for children are are just beginning preK.

Works great. Students love using this pen to practice skills on the math and reading cards.
Received as a gift for my classroom with other items. Students love using the pen and are more engaged during independent periods when using the pen to practice reading and math skills while I am with a different group of students.

Breaks Immediately
My son just learned to add within 100 (he is only 4, but obsessed with numbers). This is actually really easy for him to use and we haven't experienced any issues that some of the negative reviews say about it saying incorrect answers are correct. So far the pen has done it all correctly. I am excited to get and use some of the other sets in the future with him. We had the addition and subtraction cards and they are great. Update: This stopped working within 1 day of use. It started sound faint like the batteries were dying and then stopped responding to the cards. After switching the batteries to brand new ones, it kept doing the same thing. My son loves the cards so I am trying a replacement pen, but so disappointing because I did not buy the cards from amazon and its too difficult to return those.

Magic Pen
I am a teacher and have been tutoring my own grandchildren (grades 2-4) at home during covit-19. When I started to see a drop in my grandchildren's reading and comprehension test scores I purchased this pen along with the reading cards. Learners are given a story and then on the back 4-5 multiple choice questions to test comprehension. My grandkids are excited to do the work and often have to remind me if it is their time to work on it. The pen gives immediate answers by either lighting up red for wrong or green for correct along with a sound effect. A great learning tool especially if parents need to tutor their own children.

Kids Love This - Until It Stop Working :(
I love this pen! It's fun and engaging for kid .....until it stops working about 6 months after purchase. I am hoping for a replacement, bit can't figure out how to contact the company. :(

Life Span
Very short life span - one of the pens the light no longer works and another always gives the red/wrong answer every time.
