Prepping for a ASA 106 course, Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas and back
Long stretch of water between Ft. Lauderdale and the Bahamas... prepping for the worst (MoB)... this device is lightweight, bright, and easy to turn on. Let's hope it stays dry!

Good buy
10 dives and they haven’t failed yet. Still the same battery. Pretty much as advertised. Not a disappointment here.

Perfect Night Dive Beacon
For night diving, we let it (tied to an extra lead weight) 'float' at a certain depth, say 30 feet. Upon return, this makes us comfortable we'll be able to find our way back. It blinks at a comfortable rate...about once a second and is visible a long way off. No way I'd want this attached to my BCD>..too distracting. THe twist on/twist off I don't like but I keep the orings well lubed, and check it once I'm out of the water. A single battery lasts for a weeks worth of night diving which is nice. I'd buy it again in a minute and a bunch of my friends have asked me where I got it.

Almost exactly what I was looking for
I don't intend to use this as a personal dive beacon. I think it would be far too bright/distracting to have it attached to me while swimming at night with a group. But that said, it IS very bright, and it should work perfectly for nighttime shore diving (in reasonably clear water) to mark the dive entry/exit point. (At the time of writing this review, I have not yet used it "in situ" but will add an edit later if there is further useful info to share.) It is positively buoyant, so it should work perfectly for adding a thin cord with a weight to anchor it on the seafloor and keep it suspended mid-water. A minor design flaw is that the LED is directional, and the cone is not frosted enough to catch much of the light, so the strobe is much less bright when viewed from the side. A simple fix for this was to push a white piece of foam into the cone (a cotton ball will also work). This gives the bright light something to "bounce" off of and makes it much more visible from any direction. This light was pretty much a perfect fit for my application. (Seems like it could have been priced closer to $20, however.)

Good safety light
It's a bulkier than I'd like but it also has a much stronger light than most. More than makes up for the bulk, especially if you find yourself in low visibility conditions. The negative to this light is having to twist it to turn it on rather than pushing a button. Could be a little tricky to accomplish in a panic type situation.

Lifetime warranty in the US
I am using Princeton lights for scuba. I love the fact that Princeton offers a lifetime warranty in the US as a few of them flooded and they got replaced, sometimes by the newest model, free. No questions asked. This strobe is very powerful, and you'll see it from a distance during night dives. I highly recommend.

Great little strobe!
Single triple A battery lasts pretty good, still bright after :80 minutes, using it as my anchor strobe, lashed a stainless chain loop to it for weight, i wish the cone was more reflective to the sides like a traditional strobe, but still served its purpose well

An important piece of safety equipment.
This strobe is super bright

Important night safety aid
This strobe is waterproof and rugged, for mountaineering and sea kayak use. I have used one for many years and I am delighted the same product is available for my wife's kit.

Good light, but MASSIVELY over priced and twist-on/off has issues
These are good lights in terms of materials, but they are way, way, way overpriced. They're basically a small twist-on waterproof flashlight. They're durable and should last, but a fair selling price would be about a quarter of what the maker charges. The twist-on/off is also finicky. Twist it "off" too far and the seal leaks, but don't go far enough and it can turn on unexpectedly by itself. Finding the "off" sweet spot where it won't leak or turn back on is a sort of Russian roulette - not great in a premium-priced product that could mean your survival when things go bad... Would not buy again, there are better waterproof lights out there.

Worked very well
Bought this to replace my previous Princeton Tec Aqua Strobe. It had stopped working. It was a Xenon bulb style. The only issue with the new LED style, is the fact that the LED wafer is sitting flat and reduces the amount of light seen when the light is floating vertically from the back of your scuba tank. I painted the outer half of the lens (inside) with some white acrylic craft paint. This increased the visibility to other divers greatly. Great product.

Lame...
Well where to start. Not bright at all, Can't leave battery in as there is no On/Off Switch. Should have spent the money to get a better one
