Comfy but Slight Lack of Durability

For those who read the title and seemed confused by my phrasing, these shoes are very comfy but I’ve only had them about 2 1/2 months now and I’m already seeing holes on the insole of the shoe. Granted, I walk about 10,000 steps 4 days a week but I was a bit disappointed. I had bought a Ryka brand shoe about a year ago and it didn’t start developing holes until 6 months. If you have feet issues, this shoe is comfy but may not provide the most comfort. I have feet discomfort from being on my feet too long and these shoes merely make the pain tolerable. Still love the shoe but not exactly what I was expecting out of them.

Comfy but had to go up a size

These shoes are very lightweight and comfy. I typically order a 10 and that size was suggested so that's what I ordered. They ended up being too short as I was not able to put a fingers width in front of my longest toe. Ordered the next size up which should give my toes plenty of wiggle room.

FIT/STYLE

I love these shoes… They feel so awesome on my feet, and I feel like my foot is being supported… And they are very attractive. I love the look of the shoe! Everybody should have a pair of these!

Fantastic value

This was a great value (especially getting while on sale) for an easy indoor workout shoe. I ended up purchasing several through Amazon Wardrobe and in doing so was able to compare different types of support at the same time. These had the most support and cushion that felt best for video workouts and light lifting. Plus they are cute!

Wonderful Shoes

I read that these shoes were god for people with back pain and decided to give them a try. When I initially put them on I thought I'd have to return them. They felt a little tight around the toes but I decided to wear them around the house for a few hours and I'm very glad I did. They are very comfortable and I can go on long walks with no problem.

Excellent Support But Sizing Off

This is an excellent athletic shoe, but the sizing is off. I have other Rykas, all 9W to be precise, and they fit like a glove. The Ryka Devotion seems to have its sizing off by a half or whole size. I have reordered the shoe in a 9.5W with the hopes that the new pair fits as it should.

Shoe too short

I really liked the shoe when I saw it, however, I wear a size 6-1/2 which is what I ordered, the shoe was too short on my foot. My toe was right up against the end of the shoe. Will be returning for size 7.

Too Tight

I really like the shoe. Love the color and how lightweight the shoes are. I walk on average six miles a day and needed a new pair of walking shoes. At first, the shoes felt great on my feet, but for some reason, they right shoe is REALLY tight on my foot. I tried different socks, tried unlacing and relacing the shoe (that in itself was a feat), but the right shoe is really hurting the top of my foot. I cant figure out why other than maybe the tongue of the shoe. I notice it keeps moving around - wont stay put. Tried many things and unfortunately will have to return. Incidentally, the left shoe fits perfectly. Sad to be sending back. I gave it three days of wearing and I just can't keep.

COMFORTABLE AND FITS TRUE TO SIZE

So nice to find a size 5.5 shoe. I appreciate that they are designed for women. Most shops start at size 6 but I have a smaller foot. Comfortable fit, light support and soft, uppers that don't seem to have any nubby pressure points. Ordered quiet gray which is a lovely neutral. As it is not sneaker weather in my snowy region and our indoor walking facility is closed due to covid 19 restrictions I gave 4 stars only as I haven't actually gone walking yet! Looking forward to Spring! I bought these to replace my well worn Merrells and this Ryka does feel like a proper walking shoe.

Comfortable and bouncy :-)

As with other reviewers I found that I had been sent a size smaller than I ordered in U.K. sizing. However, as others also found, they fitted well. It’s a bit like walking along on a trampoline and as others have also said, they didn’t need wearing in :-). My first walk was 4.5 miles and my feet were fine. I have done my second walk and feet were still fine. They felt as though they loosened off during the walk, so I may take some time to get the right tightness on the laces, having been used to wearing traditional walking gear

Great fit and cushioned comfort - Highly recommend!

Perfect in every way! I have flat feet and arch on right foot is very collapsed- these Ryka walking shoes are great! They provide the right amount of cushioning, fit well and are a pleasure to walk in. Would highly recommend!

Lacks stability

I ordered these shoes and received them very quickly. I tried them on and walked around inside and immediately knew they were not going to work. There is adequate arch support but my left foot really pronates and I could feel some soreness in my foot. I hopped on the treadmill for a few kms and after five minutes had to get off the pain was intense. Next morning my foot was really sore. I think the problem for me is the ‘wobble board’ bottom of the shoe. It feels really cushion-y but I need more stability. The fit length and width was fine and I like the wider toe box ( maybe a bit too wide for me) the colour of the shoe ( navy) was awesome. These are great shoes for someone who need some arch support and is not too worried about pronation. I need a stable, motion control shoe so back to New Balance. Big shout out to Amazon for the amazing speed in processing the return. Dropped it off at the post office and 90 minutes later received a message that the return had been processed! I guess the scan goes right to amazon from the post office and they know the package is on its way back. Great service!
