Durable and Effective

A great way to cut the heat and increase privacy. The material is strong and heavy. Use 0.140 spline or even smaller depending on your channels. I tried 0.165 for a tight fit but it was too hard to roll.

High Quality and Easy to Use

This is great solar screen for the price. I've built a number of screens with this material and have never been disappointed. It's easy to work with, both cutting and rolling into spline channels on screen frames. The people that I've built the screens for love it, they say it looks great and they notice a reduction in the warmth of the rooms protected by this screen. Highly recommended.

Not what it claims to be

I first saw this product at a local home improvement store. With the same part number as here on Amazon and the price was better so I bought here. When I received the product I noticed that the pattern from the picture on Amazon and the product at the home improvement store was very different from what I recieved. The pattern online and the other I saw were much finer looking then what I recieved. I took photos and compared the to images and as you can see It almost looks like the wrong product was shipped to me. I went back to the store were I saw it the 1st time, with a piece from this roll and it is not the same item. FCS8977-M is the part number in store and online but as you can see from the picture I have attached, there is a weave difference. The one from Amazon and the store looks the same but as you can see the one I received is missing the 2nd weave on the horizontal line. Only 1 weave on mine, but 2 weaves in both directions on the image show on Amazon. I was using this to replace the 20 year old solar screens on my house. Even as faded and washed out as they are, they are still darker and and block more light then this product does. Beware of what you are shipped and check it out before you start using it.

30° difference in winter with temperature gun.

Definitely better than it was. I'll eventually do the whole window. Its a 30° difference between shaded and non shaded in winter. Summer I dont know yet.

Fabulous for my Screened Porch!!

Made a fabulous Screened Porch and I have TONS left over for window screens and other shades!! LOVE how they filter the bright light, which makes the view out beautiful with deep colors rather than glare. Additionally it will protect my fabrics for soft furnishings and art work out there. I'll let you know how they handle aging year by year, just give me a couple for chapter 2!

redid all my window screens and love it!

replaced all my window screens with this and loves it, its about a 70% shade it u want something darker look for a 90% shade but worked for me buy it!
