Very Happy With

I wanted to wait and write a review once I had used the luggage. I bought it specifically for a 10 day trip to Italy. Well I just arrived back and this piece of luggage stood up to the rigors of travelling on multiple planes and trains. We travelled to a few different places in Italy and went on multiple trains and did a lot of walking over cobblestone streets in Italy and this luggage had no issues. Nothing broke, wheels worked great and it was very maneuverable. Lock worked great. No issues whatsoever. I am very pleased with this piece of luggage!

Good looking, lightweight, durable, and good features

We got this on a treasure truck discount a while back to replace my wife's carry-on that broke. Black may not have been her first choice but it honestly does look pretty sharp. We haven't used this on a trip yet, but from opening the box and checking it out, it seems very well designed and built. I travel a lot more than she does, and I'm actually a little jealous that it was hers that broke and she gets this nice new one. It has a nice complement of pockets and straps for organizing your clothes and other travel necessities. There's an expansion "joint" for when you need to bring a little bit extra. The 360 spinner wheels are something my wife never put much importance on but I can't imagine not having them. The integrated TSA-friendly lock is also a nice touch and less hassle than using a separate padlock. What I think we are going to like the most about this is the durable hardside construction. Our 12-year-old wedding-gift luggage set, of which I'm still using mine, is soft-sided and is definitely showing the abuse that airline baggage handlers have put it through. That set is also Samsonite, by the way, so we already know the brand stands for high quality and longevity. This new one has a durable polycarbonate outer shell and I'm hoping it will hold up to rough handling much better than the soft ones.

Great Product, but read this IMPORTANT ADVICE if shopping for your first hard suitcase

This is a very good quality suitcase. It was the first hard case that I've bought. For the most part, I am satisfied, but I wish I had known a couple more bits of information before I purchased. If you are also buying YOUR FIRST HARD CASE, read these IMPORTANT TIPS. TIP #1: This case closes with a ZIPPER ONLY. It does not have a latch. Zipper-only hard cases are more vulnerable to malfunction because zippers can break or split apart with stress or excessive wear. If the zipper splits on this case, you do will have a latch as a backup method to keep your case closed and you may find your self in a predicament when you need to check your broken-zippered bag at the airport. Therefore, if you buy this case, be sure to also buy luggage straps. Luggage straps are extremely effective to keep your case closed and will help prevent excessive stress or damage to the zipper. When buying luggage straps, write your initials on each strap with a permanent marker. This will not only help identify your bag in a busy airport, but also make the straps less desirable for thieves. TIP #2: I bought the (very large) 28-inch version of this case because I wanted to have plenty of space to pack for long international trips. In hindsight, I wish I had bought a size or two smaller because filling up a case this big with normal items like clothing, shoes, and toiletries will almost always put you over the airline weight limits (and be very heavy to lift). The case is very light, but I can only fill it up about 75% to avoid paying the "excess weight" fees. With the case being 25% empty, I have lots of open space in the bag and my belongings bounce around inside. When I arrive at my destination, I often find my loosely packed belongings out of order and disheveled. For my next suitcase, I will buy something a tad bit smaller so I can fill 90% or 100%. When filled to 90-100%, my belongings would be tightly packed and more secure inside.

Good buy

The price was good and the red luggage was easy to see on the pick up belt. The expansion zipper while a nice idea just got in the way. It would have made it overweight if is unfortunately it and added more items. Typical set up inside suitcase-the zipper side was very secure, the strap side not so much. This bag was great for our long trip, would have been too heavy for main cabin without additional payment. Was maneuverable in airport and on train. It's a very large suitcase. Wasn't damaged on fights.

These are considerably bigger than the common carry-on size bag. these are considerably bigger than the common carry-on size bag. I’m a pretty big guy, so my clothes are pretty big as well. Using these bags, my son, and I often travel together can use a single bag for both of our clothes. using these bags, my son, and I who often travel together can use a single bag for both of our clothes or trips are usually 2 to 3 days.

We are so excited to open the box as soon as I got home it was on out front door. The luggages are in perfect condition no scratches. My husband and I really checked all 3 luggages. It’s was delivered to us with outmost care . And the are all brand new.

Omni is More Sturdy

The Omni line is much more durable and sturdy than other Samsonite lines. The scratches from baggage handling do not show as much on this design and material.

Perfecto para carry on

Buenísima, ya estrené mi maleta y cabe muy bien en la cabina del avión (Aeroméxico). Es muy espaciosa, yo hice viaje de 5 días y cupo todo (siendo moderados claro; incluí ropa, un par de tenis y sandalias; los artículos de higiene los compré en mi destino o no hubieran cabido). Me hubiera gustado que integrara una bolsa para neceseres. Trae una mini bolsita apenas como para cepillo de dientes o monedas. Si no te molesta documentar y necesitas más espacio, la maleta cuenta con un cierre para ampliar un poco el volumen. Las 4 llantas son lo mejor porque prácticamente solo empujas o jalas la maleta a todos lados, no la tienes que cargar ni arrastrar. Me sirvió mucho pues viajé por la Terminal 1 del Aeropuerto CDMX y hay que caminar un montón. El material es duro y resistente, pareciera que se raya fácil pero hasta ahora no le pasó nada. 1000% recomendada esta maleta. Me costó 3,000 pesos mxn pero si vigilas el precio he visto que baja a 2,200 aprox.

Hard to resist this compact little case

The shape of this size 20 carry on case is too big unfortunately for some airlines, unless you are travelling club class but I still think it's a good quality little case and love the fact the case is split evenly into two sections, with a zipped partition to stop items falling out when you open it. The handle bars take up a bit of the internal space but as with all the Omni range it can be expanded with a separate zip if you have overfilled it. It takes quite a bit of punishment if knocked about and is tough enough to withstand going into the hold. The Caribbean blue colour is very attractive and I bought all three sizes which come packed like a Russian doll, inside each other and then bought an extra 20 size as I can pack enough clothes and shoes for a week or two and it will even take collapsible walking poles to my surprise. It glides very easily across smooth surfaces and the wheels seem sturdy enough. I use mine for walking holidays in Europe and the case gets thrown into a car every day to get taken to the next hotel and it has survived without damage.

Excellent value Samsonite nest of 3 cases

The colour is true to the picture on Amazon, a nice turquoise and the grainy styled exterior is attractive and not mat. Though incredibly light, it survived the dreaded airport carousel without a mark. The inside is split into two equal halves, which makes packing much easier. There is a net on one side which stops things falling out. I bought the nest of three which come packed inside each other, useful for tight storage. There’s a second handle on the side to aid lifting up stairs etc. Much better quality than the Winfield 3 set I bought previously which marked badly but hasn’t yet dented. The micro-diamond textured shell stood up very well to its maiden voyage and I wish it was made for the U.K. market, instead of having to pay import duty. However it’s still great value.

Estuve varias semanas viendo distintos modelos de maletas para ver cuál me convenía más y finalmente me decidí por el modelo Omni de Samsonite y tengo que decir que no estoy nada arrepentido. Compré el set de 3 y estoy muy feliz porque tengo todos los tamaños que pudiera necesitar. Le veo muchos pros a esta maleta. 1. Se siente increíblemente ligera. 2. A pesar de ser ligera, el material se siente muy duro. 3. La textura del material hace que no se raye con facilidad. 4. Estéticamente es una maleta muy bonita y viene en muchos colores. 5. Las ruedas se sienten de buena calidad. Los contras que le veo 1. Al ser maleta dura no tienes muchas bolsas o compartimentos (solamente el espacio interior) 2. La caja llegó muy maltratada (el producto no estaba dañado ni nada, pero la caja se fue directo a la basura) 3. No es tan claro el mecanismo del candado. En conclusión, el producto a grandes rasgos es fenomenal. Habrá que ver con el uso continuo si el material se desgasta muy rápido, pero a simple vista se ve muy resistente el material. Para ajustar la combinación del candado: 1. Aprieta el botón para abrirlo. (Viene ajustado a 000) 2. Con algo puntiagudo (un lápiz o una pluma) presiona el botón que se encuentra del lado contrario a los números 3. Selecciona tu combinación. 4. Presiona el botón lateral para abrir el candado (esto fija la combinación) 5. Listo

10 years warranty, but no spare parts!

I travelled with the bag once and one of the wheel broke during transit. Samsonite does not have any wheel replacement anywhere - UK/EU/USA. I bought the bag in Dec 2019. Used it in Jan 2020 and broke and I still don't have an answer from Samsonite other than running around in circles without a solution. How can Samosnite warranty a bag for 10 years when they do not have a simple wheel replacement? I called the UK/EU/USA samsonite centre and they are not able to help. Poor service.
