Good quality, waterproof mattress cover

I usually do layers in my toddler‘s bed so that way if he gets sick in the middle of the night we can just strip the sheet and a waterproof cover and there’s another sheet and waterproof cover below. I will warn you do not dry this in the dryer. Hang dry it outside or inside. It melts together if you put it in the dryer.

Works great

We've had many "waterproof" mattress protectors for our kid's beds over the years; some work, and others don't. However, this one has proved to be fully waterproof so far! It is soft, fits the crib mattress well, and protects it from accidents. Unfortunately, it is winter here, so I can't attest to the cooling ability of this cover right now, but I'm hoping it keeps the baby cool on hot summer nights this summer.

Fits our mattress(52" x 28" x 6") a bit too snug, but we're quite happy with this

The length and width fit perfect, but this may have been designed for a mattress shorter than the 6" because it fits ours quite snug, but nonetheless it fits. The top is soft, and im confident in all their other claims because this product is from a very reputable brand. Theres not much else to say that they dont mention on the product page. Do get a protective cover for child mattresses; its a smart investment because children WILL have accidents and spills

I don't know about the cooling, I can't ask an infant if they felt cooler on this, but I did notice the baby was less sweaty on the warmer days he napped on this, than he had on the days before I picked this up. I'm now a first time grandma, so of course I need a decent set up for my favorite little person ever, but I have "been out of the game" for a few years now, so I have had to relearn what works well and what doesn't for baby products. Initially, I thought these were a gimick, like I said, no way to ask an infant if he felt cooler during his nap. I live in a four season area, one where it typically doesn't get super hot, so we don't have AC, as it hasn't been an issue until this summer, when we had four back to back heat waves. For the most part the baby was fine, but there were a couple days where he woke up a bit sweaty, so I started looking into ways to keep him or his room cooler in case the heat lasted a long time. Glad I did, this arrived first, and the first thing we noticed, he wasn't waking up sweaty on the hot days, and I combined it with a dual box fan for his window and he was fine. I did manage to locate more of these at a local store, so I have picked up more, I have five now, but babies can get messy quick, so I always tend to have more baby stuff on hand since the washer and dryer only work so fast. I think so far we've had three dirty at any given time between needing to be washed because it's time, and the inevitable accidents babies have. Like I said, I don't know about cooling, but he's less sweaty and at the very least this is helping wick the moisture from him on the hot days while he's napping.

Great Mattress Protector

A great mattress protector, fits nicely and is soft without compromising water resistance. Perfect for layering several protectors/sheets for middle of the night changes.

Another great Sealy product

I've used Sealy waterproof mattress protectors for all of my babies so far, and this one has the same excellent quality I've come to expect. It fits a standard crib mattress perfectly, and the mattress pad is soft and cushy without being crinkly. The waterproof aspect works exactly as it should, which is great for both leaky diapers and for babies that spit up as much as mine does. If you have a baby prone to nighttime diaper leaks, you can double layer your crib with mattress pad, sheet, mattress pad, sheet. Then if you have to change the sheets at night, you just take off the top sheet and mattress pad and already have another one ready to go underneath! I can't tell for sure how effective the "cooling" aspect is, but it's a nice idea since waterproof bedding has a tendency to hold in heat. Overall this is a great product that will probably last me for years with regular washing, like my other Sealy crib mattress pads have.

Great value for price, easily washes and can be dried on low heat. Won't stop leaks from the edges of mattress, but I love having this double layered in my baby's crib for when she has an unexpected blowout
