Tongue Jack Scale

I can't believe this has not been thought of before. It is so simple, yet absolutely perfect for the critical tongue weight measurement. No more guessing. I just drove my vehicle farther forward until my wife gave me the thumbs up at 500 lbs. and we drove 800 miles with no fishtailing and no overweight tongue load. Love it.

Nice but heavy

This is a really nice unit. The built-in scale is a great idea. It's nice to have a wheel brake as well. It seems really sturdy and well built. I'm not sure how well it would hold up around salt water, but that wasn't my planned use. I'm not actually going to use it. I got it for a light trailer to tow from a Subaru Outback with a 200 lbs. tongue weight limit, and I figured this would make it easy to check and make sure I didn't get too close to that limit. The problem is that at 22 lbs, I'm using up 10% of that weight just on the jack! So I'm giving it to someone who tows heavier trailers with a bigger vehicle. If you've got a 500 lb tongue weight limit the weight of it wouldn't matter much. If they had lighter version of that would be ideal for me, but perhaps this will be ideal for you.
