Some things to note
The first thing to note is that this watch wears like a dive watch without the bezel. It feels a little chunky, and seems a bit bigger than the dimensions would suggest. A lot of that comes from an unnecessarily long lug-to-lug width. On a medium to large wrist it should be great, but I'd hesitate to recommend it to a small wrist wearer. With this particular model, there is a readability issue in lower-light. Because the lume does not cover the whole hands , the hands and indices look almost identical in lower light. For me, that means I really need to look at the watch a second, and I can't just glance at it. The bracelet is a mixed bag. It's of good quality, with solid end links and a female clasp. Unfortunately, it has no micro-adjust for sizing. Although it has half-links, it might be a problem really dialing-in a perfect sizing. I got it, but your mileage may vary. Other than that, it's a good, solid Seiko watch. The hand-set is particularly cool. The cyclops is just right. Setting and winding it feels crisp and reliable. I got it on sale, and feel good about the value-for-money proposition. The things that make this the right or wrong watch for you are very subtle. It's like buying shoes. Try to get this thing on its intended wrist before making a final decision.

Solid watch. Feels great.
Just want to feel like it’s very high-quality. It’s very enjoyable to feel and hold seem to keep time reasonably well I would recommend it.

Unique and fun to mod.
Bought this watch and wore it with the metal strap for the first few months. While I liked the look of the metal, it would still slip a bit up and down my wrist no matter how many half link variations I tried. So I ordered a leather strap and just, wow. It really takes the comfort and elegance of this watch to another level. The original metal strap has a brushed look to it, which doesn't quite match the polished finish of the watch. Once I removed it, it shows off the real beauty of this watch. I would recommend this watch. It's definitely pure in its form and the lume is actually functional.

Nice watch...
...but the RRP of $550 is completely ridiculous. Sure, inside the watch we have Seiko's reliable but also very basic 4R35B ticking away at 6 BPS at an approximate power reserve of 40 hours. The domed crystal is nice, but just Hardlex, which is only a bit of an upgrade compared with mineral, but certainly not in the same league as sapphire. The bracelet is okay, but sits a little awkward at the lugs, so I put the watch on leather right away. And I'm not the first to notice the crown does not sit quite flush with the case... The watch is perhaps just a tad fleshy at 40mm; 38mm would have suited it a little better. The overal finishing is good, the indexes, hands and the dial punch considerably above their weight (or, at RRP, are bang on the game). So if the watch can be had for the cash I forked out for it here on Amazon, its offers a sufficient amount of value for money.

Updated— For a seiko automatic it’s running too fast
Update: I previously wrote that it was running about 30s per day fast. Maybe it just needed time to break in but after wearing on wrist for about 2 weeks, it is now about only +\- 5-10s per day. It’s been very close to actual time (I’ve been tracking against atomic clock). Even now, it’s only 4s faster than atomic clock as I write this. Great watch and a great daily wear. Watch was brand new and it is running fast about 30sec a day. 4 days later after synching with iPhone time and it is 2 minutes ahead. Beautiful watch but accuracy is not quite strong suit on this one. But for the price, looks great and wears easy with most everything from casual to business casual. For 2bills you can’t go wrong, but 4-5 might be too much to shell out considering the accuracy on this one. Also, kind of noisy and clanky when you shake around. But don’t notice unless you are trying to shake around. All around beautiful watch but could be more accurate.

A great entry level automatic.
Not a whole lot more you can get for the money in this watch category. You get a seiko watch with a high accuracy movement. In my months of wear it's averaged slightly fast at +7 to +10 seconds a day. I love the dial. It wears well dressed up and dressed down so, great for everyday wear. The illumination isn't as strong as I'd like but is usable. My model has a cyclops placed on top of the crystal and offers very little magnification. The case back is a see-through screw down style. Mine came with a stainless bracelet that has easy to adjust pins, and there's a tool in the box. The clasp is milled and has a brushed finish which looks great, however does have some overhang so bear that in mind. Overall, I love this watch and would recommend to beginners and enthusiasts alike.

Nice watch
Nice watch , I will say the face is a little small for me but none the less nice mechanical watch keeps time very good and fit n finish is great. I bought a nice new watch strap for it.

Good watch but poor packaging
Poor packaging, I'm disappointed by the packaging to think that the item will be delivered overseas but no bubble wrap, the box was damage. Just thankful the watch inside was not damage.

Reloj normal, tradicional y nada pretencioso
Un reloj normal, tradicional y nada pretencioso para la oficina o el día a día. Me lo regalé a mí mismo en diciembre y la verdad que me ha gustado mucho. Ya tiene alrededor de 3 meses de uso y por lo que veo sólo se retrasa un par de minutos cada dos semanas o algo así; no lo he medido precisamente. El mecanismo 4R35 tiene un dispositivo de parada del segundero (hacking), con cuerda tanto manual como automática y una reserva de unas 40 horas, funcionando a 21,600 BPH de manera silenciosa. La caja es resistente al agua hasta 100 m y se ve y se siente de buena calidad: con acero inoxidable ligeramente satinado (cepillado) para las orejetas o asas y con pulido tipo espejo para el bisel; además, una corona protegida con un medio "pico de águila" o "cornino" y un dial verde oscuro con patrón de resplandor (sunburst). Los marcadores y las manecillas semiesqueletizadas son grandes y fáciles de leer de un vistazo, con Lumibrite que deja ver la hora a mitad de la noche y que luce brillante incluso en plena luz después de estar al sol. La piel es gruesa y cómoda, con un seguro de liberación rápida que no deja marcas o dobleces feos en la correa. Quedó muy bien en mi muñeca, que es más bien delgada. El cristal de Hardlex plano tiene un "cíclope" o lupa sobre la fecha, que es lo único que no me ha gustado del todo. En realidad no sirve de mucho porque tiene muy poco aumento y además hace que sea difícil ver la fecha desde ángulos inclinados. Hay tutoriales sobre cómo quitarlo y al parecer es algo simple, pero no me he animado por miedo a dañar el reloj, además de que no me molesta muchísimo: sólo preferiría que no lo trajera. Igual es un reloj bonito y de buena calidad y, en mi opinión, aunque no me gusta la lupa, no es suficiente para quitarle una estrella, así que lo califico con cinco por su relación calidad-precio. Baby Grand Seiko
No esperaba esta calidad, el reloj es una obra de arte japonesa muy similar a su hermano mayor Grand Seiko. Se los recomiendo a todos los que amen este bello mundo de la horología y no asignen valor si es un buen reloj solo por el precio. Sin duda una pieza que no se irá de mi colección. Y sí, es perfecto.

El embalaje es muy malo
La caja llegó muy maltratada. El reloj fuera de su almohadilla. El reloj llegó con dos tallones en el cristal y una mancha la cuál no se quitó limpiandola. Con luz normal no se nota pero con luz del sol si se nota. Deben enviar mejor protegidos los relojes, solo venía en una bolsa de burbujas. Ediicion 1 Noté que se empezaba a atrasar desde un minutos hasta 1 hora, sobre todo cuando no lo usaba. Comencé a tomar mediciones con una app de reloj atómico, descubrí que el reloj se paraba, a veces 14 segundos, otras más de un minuto y 2 veces se paró una hora.

Leaves some to be desired
For a JDM Seiko I really like it - Value to money? really depends on who you are as a watch enthusiast - I really LOVE this dial - Depending on lighting it looks black or deep blue but when the light hits; it just comes to life in the most gorgeous Green - The cyclops is definitely an afterthought in my opinion - Case finish is not what I expected; brushed lugs but polished fixes bezel - it's a good looking contrast but for this look I would prefer consistent finish - The leather strap is just OK if not bad/stiff; I even tried conditioning it to make is supple but not much changed - I've had my watch for about a few weeks almost a month now - My unit keeps time very well and I DO LOVE the look - I was just expecting a bit more from this purchase - still though no deal breakers for me here - It really just depends on preferences

Cristal hardlex
En si el modelo de este reloj es de mis favoritos, es discreto pero se ve muy bien; lo realmente malo es que tiene cristal hardlex y en unos pocos meses de uso normal ya tendrá unos rayones. Hubieran mantenido el cristal de zafiro así como los sarb033, aún con un precio mayor habría sido un reloj excelente. El tiempo que lo he usado ha mantenido muy bien la hora, unos pocos minutos de corrección que hago a la semana. Me gustó más cambiándole la correa de piel que estaba muy dura por una nato.
