Friggin' strong and perfect for ACQ treated lumber
the best thing to use on the newer consumer ACQ treated wood. make sure you don't use your dad's old stock of nails in the newer ACQ treated wood. even it they say galvanized or electro galvanized or hot galvanized, there is not enough of a zinc coating on those to withstand the corrosive ACQ treatment on the new treated wood. These are much stiffer so you cant get the heads to flatten out if you nail them in at an angle. The next best are the "hot DIPPED" galvanized, (not the same as "hot" galvanized). polymer coated is another newer option for the ACQ treated wood. The corrosive issue is mostly a problem when the wood gets wet or damp. You could use reguar nails in ACQ lumber if it is GUARANTEED to stay dry.

Great for pressure treated lumber- or damp conditions
They do not bend easy so they can go deep into the wood with fewer issues- ideal for basement use since the pressure treated lumber today is more corrosive to common nails.
