Nice quality

I wanted a pressure amplifying head and one that we could adjust for our varying needs, well it did help the pressure, but the adjustability with real changes in the pattern and pressure-not so much. I researched shower heads for a few weeks, and this one kept coming up on the top 10 lists, and many times-at the top. I like the heavy duty quality, also the simple lever to change the pattern is nice but it just does not really change things that much. It's good enough, for what I was hoping for, but only complaint is for this to offer a wider array of patterns, or noticeable pressure differences.

Great Quality

I'm VERY happy with this purchase. I have the cheaper version (plastic - purchased from home improvement store) of this same shower head in our guest bath but wanted a higher quality one for our master bath. This one is great. Quality is fantastic - it feels like a high precision piece of equipment when adjusting the spay - and I like the fact that it's all metal. The spray patterns feel fantastic on the head and skin. I'm considering purchasing another for the guest bathroom. When we move, these will be coming with us!!!

Another great Speakman!

Firstly I have to admit I’m a big fan of Speakman Showerheads. I have owned a few and they have always been phenomenal performers. When replacing a Moen showerhead recently, I have course fell back on Speakman as a tried and true friend. And the showerhead didn’t let me down. While simpler than some, with no optional center water jets, this showerhead offers exceptional water pressure adjustments and good water flow. Because I really appreciate some good water pressure, I made a small modification like many will with “water saver” showerheads. If you really wanna be blasted, then take a hook tool and remove the small black O-ring that sits against the white restrictor. Doing just this may in fact give you enough water pressure, but if not use a scalpel to cut the many (16?) little arms that connect the two parts of this water restrictor. Because it actually spins you can’t just drill out the center, but rather, need to cut the center piece free from the outer ring. It’s really not that difficult, took about two minutes for me to accomplish, and only requires an X-Acto knife. For me, this totally did the trick. Heavy, solid metal construction. Smooth effective adjustment handle. Thick and durable chrome plating. A++

Full-on shower at only 2.0 gpm. Now long showers are an option.

I bought this 2.0 gpm shower head a few months ago to replace a VERY high (8 gpm) flow shower head that used to run through a full tank of hot water in about 5 or 6 minutes. I just revisited to see about a 1.5 gpm head for my parents and re-edited this old review. Initially, I was worried whether 2 gpm would be enough, since so many reviews talk about removing flow restrictors. This unmodified shower head puts out plenty of water flow with the restrictor intact. I can't imagine removing the restrictor since there is plenty of water flow as it is. There is now enough hot-water time to get two kids through the shower in the morning and I don't have to buy a larger tank. To be fair, 2 gpm takes about 10 more seconds for thorough hair rinsing than 8 gpm, but the showering experience is otherwise pretty equivalent. Since the water flow seemed so good from this 2 gpm shower, I measured the flow with a plastic quart container and my phone's stopwatch. The flow is very close to 2.0 gpm (1 US quart in about 8 seconds). This is a very good quality item that is saving me from buying a larger hot water heater. I am very happy with this product.

The spray pattern does make for adequate coverage - a very un-satisfactory shower experience.

I have been an avid fan of Speakman shower heads for years. This was the first time I purchased the all-brass construction head. The spray pattern on this head leaves a massive void in the center of the spray. It essentially disperses the water in a wide circle and the flow rate is very low. It makes for a cold shower that requires excessive time in the water to adequately rinse soap and shampoo. This head is not recommended.

Skin-blasting awesomeness!

Ready for some skin-blasting that only seems to occur at high-end hotels - this is your product! I was tired of those 20" round shower heads made of plastic that build up lime deposits and just look ridiculous. This is a no-frills, solid brass, let me take the outer layer of epidermis off kind of product that I had been searching for. And, this is the brand that many hotels use. Went to hotel recently and saw that they are now jumping on the cheap plastic with 20 settings - as though a breezy mist is what we all need for bathing. Do yourself a favor - get some shower power with this baby.

Too pricey

The metal is heavy and sturdy, and easy to install, but for the price the function is limited.
