Works great

I use this for my crochet plushies and it works great for going from one side of an amigurumi piece all the way through to the other side.

Great for other uses

I use this to weave thread through my hair to hold it up, it’s perfect for this. The tip does not poke me and the eye is wide enough that I can usually re-thread it behind my head. It’s been sturdy, I break plastic ones pretty quick. Unorthodox use, but I’m very happy with it.

Weaving in Tails

This needle is great for weaving in tails. I would recommend this product for both knitting and crocheting.

The best for finishing handknits

My first Susan Bates Weaving Needle was purchased in 1998 and over all the subsequent years never got lost despite a cross-country move, many vacations, and my own general forgetfulness. That is, never got lost until early 2012. I tried hunting for it between seat cushions with a magnet attached to the end of a stick, that's how desperate I was. Since it didn't surface, I ordered two more - one for my travel bag and one for home. Then the first one showed up, so there were three...and then somehow two of them got lost. This was infuriating, so I ordered one more. Now all four are accounted for and I couldn't be happier. This needle is nice and long, so it's easy to manipulate when seaming or even just weaving in ends. It has a nice easy-to-thread eye, which only gives me grief with Artyarns' beaded ones (but I just cut off the bead strand and seam in the remainder). It's easy to get a grip on and has a nice blunt tip. I highly recommend it!

The perfect tapestry weaving needle

These are my favourite needles! I have been using them for weaving the past 4 years and they are the only ones I buy. I also teach weaving classes and make sure all my students have one. They are the perfect length for any mid sized or bigger project and are very sturdy - they don’t bend. They make weaving my project much faster than a smaller needle but aren’t so big that it’s hard to handle. It fits in my hand perfectly. I’m so glad amazon carries them so I don’t have to search all over the city for them like I use to.
