Too small

I wasn’t expecting to have difficulty lifting the lid—I have arthritis so the smooth surface was hard to grip. Also, there is barely any clearance around the stick of butter. Putting the lid back on without brushing up against the butter was a challenge I decided not to take. Looks really messy.

I really liked out well packed with butter dish wash. Wrapped several times in bubble wrap. Exactly what I was looking for so that I can actually see when the butter is low and needs to be replaced.

Loved it So Much I Got a Second One

I love having soft butter and having a covered butter dish makes it possible. This one is not overly big and clunky so it does not take up much room. It goes in the dishwasher and comes out beautifully. I bought one and liked it so well that I got another so that I could have one in the dishwasher and not have to wait for it to come out to put more butter in. I love having two so I can wash it after each full stick has been used. This dish holds a regular stick of butter. We usually by the box with half sticks and put 2 half sticks in. If you are careful to center your stick there is enough clearance on the sides and top for the cover. It's easy to nick the button a little when you are putting it on or taking it off, but honestly now that I can wash it after each use without waiting, it does not bother me at all. I guess I could get a roomier dish, but I prefer something that does not take up too much room on my counter. Consider getting two if you want to do like me and have one ready to go when you put one into the dishwasher. I know it's silly to get excited about a butter dish, but I really love this thing. Thanks for reading my review

The lid is too narrow to fit standard 4oz butter

I just received the glass butter dish with lid. It arrived intact lots of bubble wrap. The lid is slightly narrow. I buy the butter that comes in 4 quarters in a pack. The bottom fits the butter fine, but the lid is a bit narrow so I will need to smoosh the butter for it to fit. See the pics so you can see for yourself.

Perfect size

This butter dish fits well in the fridge. The design is simple and elegant. Best of all, it is dishwasher safe.

It Is Cute!

It is quite small and wish it had indented sides that would make it easier to lift the cover. Without that, one has to be careful when lifting the lid as you can easily drop it.

Fits butter stick, not butter block

It's a butter dish. I wanted to write a review because I saw some confusion about this size of this dish- it is the perfect size for a stick of butter (the kind of butter sticks that come in cardboard boxes with 4 aluminum foil wrapped sticks inside.) It will NOT fit an entire bar of butter(454g), the kind that come in a single block wrapped in aluminum foil. I hope that's clear! It's smaller than many butter dishes made for those 454g blocks, which makes it great for my small kitchen. We will see how the glass stands up to wear & tear but tbh for 10$ I'm not particularly worried about it.

Beautiful Butter Dish

I am really pleased with this butter dish! Really thick, heavy glass in a traditional design. Could find no flaws in the glass and looks beautiful.
