3.3/5

362.89

Kelluvuusluokitus edustaa ilmoitettua lukua, joka on suurin mahdollinen kellunta, jonka poiju tarjoaa täysin veden alla. 50 % tästä arvosta on paino, jonka poiju voi tukea sinisen raidan tasolla.

Kolmen vuoden kelluntatakuu, 100 lbs kelluvuus. Köysipesämallissa on sisäänrakennettu kuppimuoto poijun yläosaan, mikä mahdollistaa ankkurikahvan pesiytymisen poijun pinnan alle.

Great Bouy but Necessary Parts Must be purchased separately
Very nice mooring bouy, heavy duty and durable, but the Amazon description is misleading. The photo clearly shows a shackle at the top of the bouy, but the shackle is not included. Also not included is a required galvanized metal "collar" which cost approximately $29 dollars to purchase separately. (this collar could have easily been included by the manufacturer for less than $5.00 cost) Add another $15 or so for a shackle and you have an extra $45 of hidden cost included in the price of this bouy -- and that does not include the disappointment that I experienced when I found out I could not use the bouy when it arrived, but had to wait another week for the required collar to arrive. I will give Taylor Made Products a pass regarding deception.... their website specified that "hardware is not included", but I feel that they have "nickeled and dimed" purchasers of this bouy by not including the required hardware.

Collar solution is stainless safety chain with hoop

Good Mooring Ball
Good mooring ball. Make sure to buy the 2 1/2 inch mooring collar for the 18" buoy. The shackle above the collar, that attaches to the light chain which goes through the ball and that the pendants attach to, needs to be big enough not to slip through the mooring collar. Get the biggest shackle you can that fits your light chain. Good idea to also paint lower portion with anti fouling paint.

Confusing.
The nest concept is excellent. However, not one person out of 3 marinas (I was looking for hardware) liked this buoy model. Concern was lack of Taylor guidance of hardware info for EACH SIZED buoy. It was the #1 deterrent. Other reasonable concerns--- lack of swivel at top of shackle; lack of swivel at bottom of buoy (vs. bottom of chain line); and how reliably the chain is held in place during a storm because "the collar just 'sits' in the nest". Nothing holds it in place. I don't want to have to glue together a brand new product just to "see if I need to"! And I'm aware a shackle could be placed at the bottom of the buoy to hold the chain in place, but again I shouldn't have to guess/experiment with a brand new product! Bottom line--it concerns me that not one of the experienced mariner could recommend this product. All recommened "Taylor's Traditional Buoy" instead. I've uploaded instructions that came with my 46818 buoy, along with the instructions that came with the Taylor mooring collar. Also a pic of bottom of buoy and the buoy itself (18")

Exactly what I needed!
Love it, just what I needed. I did read the other reviews and as stated, plan to purchase a $10 shackle and the line you plan to secure the ball to the weight with. I used replacement winch cable from Harbor Freight. No need for a collar with the shackle being large enough not to be pulled down through the reinforced center hole.

This is the one you want - deep cup
This is the one you want. I have gone through several over the years and have learned that you want the deep ring seat or cup thing. Keeps the ring from scratching your boat. This also showed up next day and not the week or two promised.

It would be nice to have a "often purchased together" option here
Product is well made, but does not have mooring ring as pictured. Was not able to find this fitting locally and had to use substitute fitting and buy a length of chain to use the mooring -- which took time. It would be nice to have a "often purchased together" option here.

Great value
Nice looking, floats, holds chain what more can you ask for.

Missing hardware not found on Amazon
The media could not be loaded. Good product but sadly: 1. No mention of missing hardware: the rod and the Mooring Collar (2.5"), $50 which itself, can be found on Amazon and; 2. The rod which can be seen on the picture of the buoy is impossible to purchase on Amazon. At least, I couldn't find it. Be aware that despite the various options to use the buoy for mooring, the rod itself is an *absolute necessity* to use the buoy. Overall, I am happy with it but it was quite an endavour to get everything, and the price is very high for what you get, or should I say, for what you *do not* get.

Reliable and easy to use
Our lake can get quite large waves, so I use a mooring buoy. The water levels also can fluctuate. This buoy is very easy to adjust and I really like that one piece of chain goes from the weight to my boat, so I have fewer fastenings to worry about giving out. The buoy also has enough flotation to support the15 feet of chain I need. A great product!

BUYER BEWARE!! False Advertising
This product does not include the vital components of the buoy shackle and rope harness. The seller knows full well they do not include these items yet advertise them as being included. Would give a rating of zero stars if possible. They are very non-responsive when asked to supply these items.

Don’t Be Fooled By The Photo!
Do not be fooled by the photo they post with this product! It does not come with any of the hardware shown. It is literally just the shell of a buoy with none of the pieces you would tie your boat to or shackle your mooring chain to. To make matters worse, none of my local marine suppliers carry the Taylor parts you need! Do not be taken in as I was!

Photo shows metal mooring ring and it was not included ...
Photo shows metal mooring ring and it was not included. It doesn’t say anywhere in the description that the hardware is not included. This is false advertising.
