Well-made, but not quite what you might expect

These are pretty good coasters. They're solidly made, a good size, and they each have little rubber feet to keep them off any surface you put them on and not scratch it. I like the silver edge, and the fact that the edge around the coasters isn't perfect, which gives them a little visual interest. However, if you want a perfectly smooth, finished edge around the coaster, these might not be for you. The picture is pretty darn accurate as to what you get. There's two things I took a star away for... one is that, at full-price, these would have been pretty expensive to me. I got them on sale at about $15 for a set of 4, which is reasonably priced. $32 would have been too much. Second, if you're expecting absorbent coasters because these are Thirstystone, they are NOT. Again, I'm actually ok with that for this set (I own some other coasters which are absorbent Thirstystones which I like very much). But it's very easy to make the mistake and assume these are absorbent stone coasters like a lot of others that Thirstystone makes. They're not. They're the Thirstystone brand, but this particular set of coasters are not absorbent.

Beautiful and unique coasters

I really love these coasters! They are natural stone so each one is unique. I got one that has quite a bit of purple in it (my favorite color) and it's beautiful!! The silver on the outside is staying well so far, no chipping or flaking. I will mention that two of mine now have a little bit of a ring from where cups have sat on them so they aren't 100% stain-proof. They're really light though so I'm not too upset about it. These also aren't my main coasters for when guests come over, they're mainly just for us around the house. They're very heavy and thick so they never get stuck and lift up when you pick a glass up. Overall I'd definitely recommend them!

Beautiful, but some of the white stone is chipped!

Very pretty and go with our decor, but some of the white surface is chipped, making it look unfinished.

Love these!

Update: have had these for a few years now and still love them! Came back to get more lol. They continue to look great even if you can see some wear on the silver edge (but that is years of nearly daily use! Added one current pic). Love that these do no stain and are so easy to clean. Nice, heavy, rough edge marble coasters. As others have already mentioned, these are not absorbent, but that does not bother me. Love that these have little felt feet. Made in India for those interested in the country of origin.

these came as such a surprise ! made of thick , heavy marble. good quality. i do love the rougher cut ones but all are smooth on top and hold glassware/tea/coffee etc secure. i also use in other way; to hold earrings i remove at night; to hold other items than glassware.they really are pretty. the silver glows nicely. i was hoping not for a metallic glitter and it isn't. i am going to purchase the square one next**

Elegant coasters!

I love these coasters, they are so elegant. These were perfect for my living room, they are heavy and have felt pads attached to the bottom- so you can put it down on a glass table with no worries! The edge has a beautiful true silver finish and marbling is beautiful, not too consistent in grain which gives it a natural look. Great buy! I've browsed this exact product with other higher-end retail stores and got it on Amazon for half the price!

Nice and hearty

These are cute but I kind of don't like that the marble has a very slight thread of mustard yellow colour going through it. I guess that's how you can tell it's raw marble though...
