Definitely NOT Green

The color is more of a sand or tan. Not olive like in the picture. Other than that - beautiful, heavy, quality boot.

Wrong colour

First of all, the color is wrong. I ordered the dark green boots (taupe) I got light brown boots. The color on the box says “light brown nubuck” see picture. I keep the shoes because I love how they feel, new color is okay. But would have preferred the one I ordered. PLEASE ADJUST THE PICTURE AND NAME OF COLOR! I found out timberland does not have boots in taupe! Overall shoe feels good. The fleece goes all the way down to the toes. Which I hoped it would. Some boots just have fleece on the top for decoration… I am normally a 7, ordered a 7,5. And they fit good. A 8 would have been fine too, as I am almost at the edge already with thin socks. So I would recommend sizing a full size up and not just half a size… but depends how you want it. The fleece insight makes the shoe fit tighter and nice!

Comfortable and just what I hoped for

I have wide feet so I’m always worried about buying shoes online. This was a great buy. I bought my regular shoe size, as stated by other reviewers. It’s wide enough and doesn’t hurt my feet. The boots are comfortable and kept my feet warm. If you want to wear thick socks though, go up a shoe size. I can wear it with my regular socks. The only complaint I have is that the shoelaces are not long enough when I wear it over my skinny jeans. That’s an easy fix so it’s not a deterrent in buying it again.

There functional

There ok. I work for FedEx and do a lot of driving and I have been having foot cramps at night when I am trying to sleep. There really slick on ice too and snow sticks to them a lot. Sometimes the tred seems to grab the grate steps going into my truck. My feet also seem too sweat more cause they are water proof but I don’t think there able to let moisture out.

Warm, Sturdy, Great Colors and Good Value

These boots were a good price, and not as hideous as my pac boots -- meaning, I can get away with wearing them to work occasionally, so I took the plunge, and I've been very satisfied so far. The fleece lining does indeed extend all the way down to the toes, which is really nice. Perhaps partly because of the lining, the boots felt a bit tight as I was putting them on, and I was worried I would not be able to wear them with thick socks. However, after loosening the laces ALL the way down, I was able to get my feet in, and once they were on they were definitely NOT tight. Don't despair if they seem too small at first - make sure to get your foot all the way in, lace them back up, and they should fit pretty true to size. After a few wearings they're loosening up a bit, and I think the fleece gets a bit less fluffy, lending the boots a more roomy feel. I didn't want boots that were loose enough that snow could get in over the top. The smooth leather on the outsole is good, because it's a bit more tougher and probably more waterproof than the suede uppers. That said, nothing (I've tried) that's sewn of leather is permanently and completely waterproof, so I'll be re-coating these each season with a waterproofer. Unfortunately, I nicked the leather on the toe the first time I wore them (for a hike in the woods, but on a trail) which was disappointing, but after all, they are leather, it is winter, and it was bound to happen. I'd recommend - if you can bear waiting - putting an extra coat of your favorite leather treatment on them before the first outing. Live and learn. Nonetheless, I'm quite happy with these. I won't be sporting the folded-down-boots and leggings look in public, but that's just me. I tried that look, and they do still feel quite warm and secure, but I'm just not goin' there.

Great boots

Lovely boots. Look great, very warm and comfortable, and waterproof! Bellows tongue is attached well above the ankle so will be really waterproof. And if they are as good as my previous Timberland boots they will last for years and clean up well
