Assembly isn't a joke, weights okay
The tree stand is impossible to assemble with a screwdriver by hand, especially without stripping the screws. I then used an impact driver and made quick work of it. I wish the tree weren't hollow- that really adds to any instability. I'd happily pay more for a good stand.... sometimes it amazes me that companies put the effort into designing something so obviously inferior to expectations for use, as if they know its the least acceptable cheap option to make to garner a higher price for the main offering. Once put together it holds the weights fine but itf you touch the plastic tree it is flexible, not sturdy. A minimally decent job. By the way, the stand is less a neutral gray color, more a soft blue. Fortunately the weights are fine, attractive colors and good rubberized grip.... hope they last. I like to buy and use products I feel wholly good about, not here, but will work okay. I'd feel better about just the weights, but then I didn't buy this just for the weights.

Great Weights - Holder a Bust
Weights are terrific. The rack was cheap plastic; would not fit together and most assuredly would not have held the weights for even a nanosecond! Total rip-off!

Weights fine BUT Stand is not
Weights seem fine/quality etc...BUT the Storage stand is cheap and the screws and holes are poorly set where tightening it is impossible....so the stand is wobbly and cheap plastic will not last long.

Good weight set for the money but I had to air them out before using them.
My only complaint against this dumbbell set was the smell of the weights when I opened the box. I took the weights out of their plastic bags, washed them, and put them on the included rack in the garage to let them air out before the rubber smell went away. If you have a latex allergy this set may be an issue for you or you might have to wear gloves while using them. The smell eventually did go away and I've been using the weights ever since. They seem to be a good product but like others have said, the stand that comes with the weights isn't very sturdy. You will have to handle the rack gently if you want it to last. In my case I didn't really buy the weights for the rack, I wanted a reasonably priced weight set that didn't gouge me on shipping charges and that's what I got. I'd buy this set again if I needed to replace them. I take care of the things I buy so I believe these weights and the flimsy rack will serve me well. I can't say fro sure but I'd have to say these weights may not hold up well if they're dropped on a hard floor or concrete surface. I won't be testing that out so others will have to give us a review if it happens to them. For chunks of metal covered in neoprene, I have no complaints. With this set you receive (2) 2 lb weights, (2) 3 lb weights, (2) 5 lb weights and a plastic stand. It ships in it's original box and everything is well packaged (but if you're ordering as a gift, it will be visible) I have been using these for a few weeks in conjunction with p90 (not to be confused with P90X). My two year old takes out the 2 lb weights and works out along with mommy and daddy. I needed something light for things like flys and tricep extensions and these are perfect. So far they have been holding up well and I expect they will last a long time. Having a stand definitely makes storage and transport of the weights easier. It starts to look really cluttered if you don't use the frame. At first glance the stand seems flimsy, but once it's put together and has weights on it, it is plenty sturdy. The only feature that might be nice to add would be a handle at the top because we pick ours up and take it in and out of the closet for our workouts, but this doesn't make or break the deal. I spent a long time looking at different sets trying to figure out why there are such big price differences. In the end I decided to go with this one because it was the least expensive (I paid $20) and I can't see a reason that I would want to pay more than double the price for other comparable sets.

Stand for weights is a piece of junk
The stand assembly is nothing more than a fragile plastic piece of junk. The screws are of poor quality; one didn't even have any slots for use with a screwdriver. The plastic pegs that act a braces easily crack when you try to screw them to the sides of the frame. This is an absolute piece of crap. I'm now having to order a metal dumbbell stand in place of this to hold the dumbbells at additional cost to me.

Sticky
When I opened the box and took out the weights I thought I had been conned as I did t see the rack. Only when my husband went to recycle the box he found the rack flat packed. The only thing I don’t love is the texture. They’re a bit sticky feeling and I think they will get grubby. I wish they were smooth plastic.
