Fills mountain tubes fast, Reliable garage Pump
Mountain bikers, don't bother with $20 floor pumps - spend the extra but still reasonable $40 and get the JoeBlow Mountain. It's a high volume pump so it fills tubes fast! Just don't try to use it sitting down, you'll need leverage. The twin head end works with both Presta and Schrader valves so you won't need adaptors. I like how the pressure gauge is located at the base of the pump on top of the wide footpads - I've had pumps with gauges located near the top of the pump, and those are guaranteed to fall over sooner or later. It only has a maximum capacity of 75psi so it won't work for road bikes - but it says "mountain" in the name, so this isn't a valid complaint for the pump. I gave it 4 instead of five stars because the only small issue for me is that I wish it had a longer tube to reach my tire valves on my bike when it's elevated in a bike stand. Overall though, it's a good quality pump that should serve mountain bikers for a long, long time.

Totally worth it!
So much quicker for large mtb tires. With a 29x2.6, I get a lb+ each pump.

Not your average Joe
I purchased this tire pump for my Montague Paratrooper Pro folding mountain bike. I purposely let the air out of the front tire and then tried to pump it up from zero psi to see how easy or difficult it would be to reach the recommended tire pressure. It didn't take very long or much effort to pump it up to 60+ psi. The tire is rated at 40-65 psi. I will be deflating some of the pressure since I ride around 50 psi. I was very impressed with the build quality. My feet kept it solidly on the floor while my hands had a very secure grip on the textured handles. The built-in tire pressure gauge is very easy to read. You can set a yellow arrow on the gauge to your desired psi so you know instantly when you have reached your correct psi. Also, there is a yellow plastic lever that you turn to lock the pump hose to the tire valve which prevents most leakage. I highly recommend this tire pump for mountain bike tires. It is ridiculously quick and easy to use. I can't imagine a better mountain bike tire pump than this. I also got Topeak's D2 SmartGauge to easily verify the correct tire pressure while riding. Worth every penny.

Tubeless with no air compressor
I just went tubeless and was worried about all the talk of air compressors so I got this pump. I got a pair of used Mavic Crossmax wheels and put WTB kevlar Wolverine 2.2 tires on them and connected the pump up and inflated the tires. I gave it 5 stars because tubeless is supposed to be such a headache but I had none with this setup. After about a month of use I have a field use update: I had mounted my tubeless tires but needed to put in sealant so I went to a walmart parking lot to give this a shot after reading stories of garages coated in sealant. 1. using a pump and not an air compressor you are not going to blast sealant everywhere. 2. I learned that in order to seat the tire both sides of the tire must be unmounted. If one side is mounted then air just blows out the opposite side. Once I learned this, it was a snap. The only Con to the pump I have noticed is since you are pushing something like twice the air it takes twice the force to push down on the pump.

Too much effort.
Updated Review: Although the Topeak pump is well built, it does require heavy pushing compared to a more expensive pump. I've since returned the Topeak and purchased a Specialized pump designed for Mountain Bike Tires and the difference in pumping action is night and day. My new pump feels effortless in comparison. In all fairness, the topeak pump which I received could have been defective - you can be the judge. Since receiving my Specialized pump, I have also found it to be much easier to use when securing over either of the two valve types, "Presta and Schrader" Topeak is a good brand, it just didn't work for me and I wish that it had - the price was right. The specialized pump is about $25.00 more and it was worth it to me, but it might not be worth it to others. Previous review: Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but the pump requires so much effort to put air through a Presta Valve. I also own a pump made by specialized and I don't use that much effort when pumping 100 pounds into a tire - problem is, I gave it to my son and purchased this pump to save money. Just spoiled I guess - but I will most likely return the pump and spend the big bucks on a new specialized pump.

Fills tires...fast...but could use some refinement
The big bore design is great for mountain and fat bike tires. Beats the heck out of pumping multi-purpose or road oriented units until you're blue in the face. Gave it an average rating mostly because of the gauge and two-sided chuck. The former is adequate to understand "about" how much air is in your tires, but doesn't offer the precision necessary to fine tune pressures. The latter works OK, but is a bit finicky with Presta valves - hard to do consistently without air loss. All of my bicycles have Presta valves, so I can't comment on how well it works with Schraders. It's not a bad pump, and I'm happy to own it, I just had higher expectations. I can live with the chuck design, but did buy a separate digital pressure gauge (also from Topeak) to fine tune pressures.

Great value for price, Fill large Mountain bike tires fast.
Just amazing compared to my old bike pump. Just a few pumps and your tire in at max pressure. Don't like the valve stem attachment. a little difficult to put on bike stem without air leaking, but can be replaced with a higher quality one.
