Charming Outdoor Cat Haven!!!

I bought this adorable cat house for my indoor cats, put it together, and a friend lined the inside floors with contact paper. My indoor cats weren’t interested, so I gave it to a friend who has outdoor cats, and they love it! It’s their favorite place to eat, and they enjoy the multi-level “buffet”! The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star review is because it took me an extremely long time to put together (probably due to my lack of expertise), and I had to sand down the rough edges of the wood, which was an easy fix. The extra time spent putting it together, sanding it and lining the “floors” with contact paper was well worth it, because the outdoor cats LOVE it!!!! It is a delightful and darling cat house, and I highly recommend it! Your outdoor cats will treasure it, just like Smokey does!

Sturdy, functional for outdoor use if in a protected area.

I have this in a carport so it is out of the elements BUT, depending on the weather, I don't think it may be sturdy enough to survive outside alone. Giving it 4 stars because of a couple of things. Part of the roof was detached when it came, I glued it back on. Some of the hardware doesn't want to line up when you close doors and the plastic over the door is extremely stiff, especially in cold weather, so hard for animals to get in or out. But it is cute!!

Smaller than it seems online

This cat house is very cute and decently made. It is very small. I have three average size cats and I do not think more than 1-2 would be able to use it at a time. When inside, they would have to be curled up and would not be ale to fully stretch out. We had a 4-5 day hard freeze and I wanted to get my cats something to keep them out of the weather but this was not that.

Cute, smaller then expected and it smells!

The media could not be loaded. I got this because my cat Is terrified of thunder and lightning and we moved to Florida where that's a daily occurrence. I wanted to give her something she'd feel safe in. It was a smidge annoying to assemble but manageable. My cat instantly started rubbing all over the roof before I got it assembled. She doesn't seem phased by it but man it stinks! ????????( I just really hope she doesn't get sick from it) For an average or smaller cat it should be fine but not for a fat ???? cat my male will most likely only fit in the middle as he is too plump. We are using ours inside on carpet so we didn't attach the legs. I'll update review after more use.

Fun winter project ❄️

I bought this a while back and my kitties have claimed it as their clubhouse!! It houses their water fountain & set up in my bedroom so I get to fall asleep to the sound of water every night (love this) Recently during a cold winter spell I redecorated my bedroom and the Kitty Clubhouse too!! Flower Figaroo & I love the results ????????

Ultra Cute Cat House; I Like It, But Will My Cats Learn to Use It?

This is a super cute wooden house for cats. It is very well made and looks very attractive. Fortunately for me, my neighbor helped me to put it together. He had an electric drill/screw driver which made the process much easier than doing it by hand. It took us about an hour and a half to put it together. It was definitely better that there were 2 of us when we put it together although 1 person could have done it, just not quite as easily. There is a low-key smell from the house that is probably from the finish on the wood. It might be a cedar smell, but I'm not sure. The smell was stronger when I took the pieces out of the box, but now I only notice it if I put my nose very close to the cat house. It's a neutral smell in my opinion. The issue I am having now is getting my cats to actually use the house. Towards this end, I have removed the back door and the covering over the side door. I have put treats inside, but so far none of my 3 cats has shown too much interest in spending any time in the house. They munch up the treats and then hop out! I got the cat house for my indoor/outdoor cat, but I want to make sure she will use it before putting it outside. I noticed from other reviews that other people who got this had to teach their cats to use it. As I have time, I will do other things, such as add washable cat beds to each "floor" to see if that encourages them to use it. I'm hoping that making it more comfortable, along with enticing them in with treats, will get them to use it. I'll post an update in a few months on whether or not this has worked.

Cute but not for exposure to the elements.

I just got this a few days ago. And I have a few comments. 1. You will need a good, solid screwdriver to use. An electric drill with a Philips head would be great or an ratchet screwdriver (but your wrist will get a workout). 2. The instructions are not very clear and the pictures with them could be a lot better. If you have experience putting furniture or other things together from instructions it should not be too difficult. If you are not, be aware, it will be a slight challenge. The instructions need to be better. (Trixie take note here.) 3. When putting the middle shelf in, the instructions say to secure it with a screw before attaching the third wall. I found it easier to anchor the middle shelf with the three sides put together first. That allows you to put the screw in the shelf without it moving around. 4. The screws that attach the sloping sides of the top are very, very close to two screws already in the sides so it is difficult to get them secure. Make sure to apply pressure to the roof parts while screwing them in. Otherwise you might have a gap. 5. The roof has shingle material on it so it will go all over the floor as you are constructing the product just like shingles on a real roof. Put a sheet down or construct it outside. Otherwise prepare to sweep up some. 6. This is a product that, if put outside, should be sheltered under an awning or porch or in a building. It is not as solid as the smaller houses sold. 7. If you buy this product, the cats would appreciate a rug or other material put on the shelves to be more comfortable and warm. The product is very cute but put together with staples and not very sturdy. I would recommend another product for outside use if exposed to any type of weather.

Not suitable for large cats.

Smaller than I hoped it would be so not suitable for my Maine Coons & larger Ragdoll cats. Two of my smaller Ragdolls investigated the interior but prefer to sit on the roof! I managed to assemble it in 45 minutes & the plastic feet were fiddly to screw onto the base of the cat house.

Being overcharged uneccessarily.

I am very disappointed to see that I have paid an exorbitant amount for import fees and now the fees have come down considerably by over £60. Shoppers be aware as this is just exploiting animal lovers. There was also a few damages and cracks, but just too exhausting to dismantle and return.

Smaller than expected

Nice house but very small! No way cats can go from each level so I added 2 cat flaps so they can have a level each. For the money I would have expected better quality wood but a cute little house anyway, painted with a wood protective paint so hope it lasts!

a pointless purchase?

Easy enough to construct, good quality seemingly, but despite initially using the claw-sharpening roof a couple of times none of our cats has taken to using it since we bought it 3 months ago. Even with blankets placed inside of it...it doesn't seem to be cosy enough for them to bother with.
