This is the ferrari of bee jackets in the bee keeping world. Very well made, thick material, solid zippers. Would buy again when the time comes.

Sizing

I am 6'2" and 270 pounds. Got the XL and it was ok......a bit snug. Exchanged for the XXL and it fits much better. Hard to tell from the size chart but hope this helps

I LOVE this jacket

I LOVE this jacket. If you keep bees and plan on sticking with it, do yourself a favor and spend the money on one of these. Living in Florida I nearly had a heatstroke several times my first year of beekeeping, so I asked my wife for one of these for christmas. I now just wear this with no shirt underneath and I stay much cooler. Obviously working in the sun in FL is still brutal but this makes it infinitely more tolerable. This jacket is well constructed, and when you see the depth created by the mesh construction its obvious that it would be virtually impossible to be stung through it. The hood zips on nicely and any gaps are closed securely with velcro. My only complaint is I had gotten used to the circular style veil on my last jacket which allows you to look to your sides without turning; whereas the way this sits on your head blocks much of your periphery and you will find that you need to turn your body somewhat to look to your side. I understand some have replaced the hood, but its only annoying enough to me to mention, not actually do anything about it. I highly recommend and would not hesitate to buy again!

This jacket really works

I live in South Africa and buying this jacket with a 14 to 1 exchange rate and then shipping made this purchase really expensive compared to jackets available here. We have 35 + degrees centigrade here in summer and humidity levels of around 90% so really nasty conditions to work in. We also have to deal with African bees whose reputation I'm sure is well known in the USA. I also do removals so the bees are less than happy and extremely aggressive . These bees are the real deal. The jacket worked perfectly, cool and zero stings, so really happy I made the choice. I see some reviews site the lack of rings on the zips as problematic but I simply used pieces of cord in a loop through each zip closer and it works perfectly.

Awesome!

I live in Tn so it gets hot and humid, top that off with the fact that I could be considered, in some cultures, a tad overweight- and you get a climate that is constantly too hot... Tending my bees was a real sacrifice due to the heat, and totally unenjoyable, so i took a chance and bought this weird looking ordeal. I am so glad I did, it is wonderful. I bought it despite the other reviewer that said something about a piece of plastic in between the layers, that isn't the case- can can blow right through the whole thing. I just got done tending a hive shirtless (with this jacket). It is an interesting sensation to hear several thousand bees around you and feel the breeze roll in all over your upper body..LOL- what a trip. Love this thing. (I am a fan of well built/made products- and this makes the top 10)

Good quality product only thing they should do is add the loop for thumb to make gloves easier to put on
