Board game

This board game is modern version of snake and ladder game . Game rules are simple and kids friendly. The board is very thick and quality of dice is good. Nothing very special.

Basically chutes and ladders

This is a basic board game that has a similar gameplay style tot he classic chutes and ladders with a twist. The board looks different and instead of ladders, there are trampolines.

Great activity

This is a new take on an old game. Snakes and ladders is now a block party. It is a fun and easy game to play. It has four counters but if you found some extras you could easily add in more players. It is a fun game where you get to choose what type of party activity you want to do. These can lead you on to new paths. Overall a good and simple game

It's a fun game for my grandkids to play, helps limit screen time and helps them by actively participating in a group based game with other kids.

Very similar to chutes and ladders , but relatable !

This game is very similar to Chutes and Ladders but it is a more relatable and updated version. My kids enjoyed having the option to pick which square they wanted to slide down or climb up to. It was especially fun for them to see a bouncy house and a fire truck on the game board , two of their favorite things ! My favorite part was the oversized wooden dice. I loved the look of it and great for little hands. It would have been nice if the support for the game pieces were made of plastic because I can see the kids wearing these down quickly over time. One of the pieces bent a little bit alresdy during assembly. Overall this is a great game to add to your rainy day game board collection if you have young children.

Kid oriented chutes and ladders

There are 100 spaces with various springs and arrows that send you forward or backward. It comes with four sustainably made playing pieces, which means a rough cardboard so longevity with kids may be an issue. It comes with a large wooden die for rolling your turn, you have to land on the final space to win. It's a good game to build hand coordination and counting with your kids.

Some great ideas missing execution and complete awareness.

I really had high hopes for this, and to a large degree I was not disappointed. The game itself played well and went smoothly. The directions were simple and clear, and my 5 year old and 8 year old enjoyed the game. (Despite one of the stands for the game pieces not being included). To a large degree, this is a version of the standard “snakes and ladders” style game. The makers clearly put some effort into making the game more accessible and inclusive for a new, more diverse generation. To that end they succeeded, but I would have liked to see more cultural elements than those connected to an urban landscape. Honestly, does an open fire hydrant represent a cultural experience today, or does it represent a more stereotypical vision of urban culture? I found the game board a bit crowded feeling, but my kids did not. The decision making options were interesting, but only the youngest players will prioritize what they like better rather than what will get them closer to winning. Solid effort here, and a nice change of pace. Is this a step forward? Sure. Is this a great replacement for the traditional “snakes and ladders”? Maybe. Is there room to improve on this formula? Absolutely! I would love to see more effort and research go into Upbounders products and games.
