Doesn't fit most Hondas

I like the tool but it doesnt fit into tight spaces as well as I'd hoped it would. The sockets could be a bit more recessed and the supplied crows feet could've been the better wrap around style. But when it does fit man oh man it makes doing belts a breeze.

Best tool buy of the year

2007 Honda CRV PS pump replacement. After struggling with an offset box wrench and another tool because I didn't want to pay the full price and wait, I noticed this tool on sale for early BF and decided to also watch the reviews. I was relieved it hadn't yet been used, if you know what I mean. Putting together the size I had just previously needed and pulling the socket out, I was at first bothered it didn't come out so easy. But then, who wants the socket to fall out and fall inside the engine compartment anyway. The one issue I have with any tool such as this is like the dead man switch. I'd like both hands to take the belt off and put it back on. I suppose a block or length of wood placed somewhere might solve that. I had a cheaper version I bought years ago, but couldn't find it when I needed it. This one has it's own case.

Works great

I don't buy a lot of special use tools but this was a good choice. I have a couple of cars that have minimal space around the pulley face of the engine and hard to reach idler pulleys so changing the serpentine belt is an ordeal. No tool will make it a joy to do, but this tool makes it way easier. It's a tool that does it's job well.

I received this item and a part fell out of the tool container box. I emailed GEARWRENCH and they mailed me a replacement ASAP without any fuss. This is the second set of tools I have bought from them, and I am amazed at the service, the quality is great too. I will be purchasing more of their products.

Great Tool

Have been working on my own cars for past 30 years….I should have gotten this a long time ago. Would have saved many bruised knuckles. This tool is great for serpentine belts. Makes quick work of them. Well made too, this will be passed down.

Perfect tool for 2.0T Audi

Bought this for a belt replacement on an Audi 2.0T. There is barely enough room to change out the serpentine belt - was able to use the tool to reach down to get the serpentine belt where it need to go (to narrow for hand/arm) The space is too narrow for sockets any longer than what was in this kit. Great tool set to have around and awesome quality.

Great product

Overall this product is great. One small issue is that the ratchet mechanism on the spanner sticks a little when using it. It would have been better if it was more smoother to operate. As of now it feels clunky, as if a cheap mechanism has been installed. Otherwise I believe its amongst the best serpentine belt tools out there.

Purchased this one to keep in car. It's a shorter design(by 1/2) than that my workshop one.I would have brought this one originally, but because of the lead time for postage from USA,i had to buy other one(from UK) for an urgent repair..Modern poly-vee drive belts rarely break,but i hate the thought of not being able to change a 'Fan-belt' by the roadside.It is a useful addition to the set of car tools as it gives extra leverage on nuts/bolts etc for roadside repairs.The ratchet extension bar design,(which keeps the items storage box length so short,)is a genius idea. Highly recommended.

A quality tool for changing the Serpentine belt.

Probably the best tool for the job - that’s replacing the serpentine belt on your car/van or tumble drier. Okay. I lied about the last one, but it did the job so well, it’s got to have more uses than what’s on the box.
