I was looking for a fan that would fit in a small tight place to replace the old one my kids destroyed. i was worried that this one wouldn't fit, since the blades were almost 10 inches longer. But luckily for me the size was not the issue, even though this model does not provide you with an option of rod installation. The base has to be flush with the ceiling, which was a little disappointing, since the airflow is travelling along the ceiling. On the plus side, it takes standard size bulbs and has a reverse switch. Installation was not a problem, just about the same as other fans, not easier, not harder. I guess the blade size does matter, because at high speed the assembly oscilates like crazy, despite all the efforts I took to balance it out, so to be safe I am running it at medium setting. Last but not least, I'd like to see the artist who put a very ... well suggestive logo on the chains, very 1933-1945ish of them.

Liked it so much we bought another!

When we sold our last home, we had a ceiling fan-light that we wanted to take with us to our new home. We bought this fan-light as a replacement and had it installed before we listed the house. The price was so low that we weren't expecting much but it served our purpose. To our surprise, we liked the light so much that we bought a second one for our new house. It throws a nice white light that is perfect for our guest bedroom. We added a dimmer so that the amount of light can be controlled. Definitely, a great value.

Easy install, decent fan and bright light

The assembly was easy enough. I was particularly happy with a feature on the mounting bracket that allowed you to hang the motor unit on the bracket temporarily so as to use both hands for the wiring. Very nice. Basic tools and about 45 minutes saw the job done. I do suggest purchasing a balancing kit or two as this is an inexpensive fan and my blades were out of whack with each other. The balancing kit made all the difference though. The fan itself has a bit of hum on low and medium speeds, not as bad as some, not as good as others. High speed was fine and blows a fair bit of air. The fan has 3 speeds and reverses. No remote. The light is bright with two 60W bulbs with E12 sockets. Overall, good value for money.

No Frills doesn't have to been Bleh!

This is a great low cost fan perfect for a small room in which you need a low profile option. This kit includes a light kit and LED lamps that just add to the value. The installation instructions were better than average and the product looks nice.

Great Price

I have a home that still had 1949 electrical. I installed 2 fans in my house. It took me a while due to the old electrical, but the fans over all are prefect for my little house. I has to go purchase the bulbs and got the clear ones duento 3 out of 4 not burnt out when I received them. They cost $1.99 for a two pack at Menards.

Difficult to Install but Looks Good

Easy to assemble but difficult to install. It does make some noise once it's up, but it's easy to block out. It's a bit small for a larger room, but it sits nice and flush on the ceiling and looks nice overall.

Decent value

Nice fan, install was easy. No remote. Louder than expected with vibration/hum. Hunter is quieter.

Very noisy & mounting brackets not adequate. Cheap pot mettle. Very poor quality.

Very disappointed in quality . Way too much flex in the mounting bracket coming off of the fan motor. At high speed the fan makes a clicking noise which is annoying. Tried to take apart twice and still end up with the same result. Thought since it was American made it would be better quality. Spent 4 hours already on it and just might end up taking down and returning. Guess you don't get much for A$200 these days.
