Takes a Little Practice

Compared to other rulers on the market, this is a great value. I am not an experienced quilter, and it took me a few tries to get accurate half square triangles with this ruler. In my experience, to get good results with this tool, you need to press and starch your fabrics before you begin, and make sure that you cut your initial strips with the line completely on the fabric, not the table. For example, if you are cutting your triangles from 2 1/2" strips, make sure the 2 1/2" line is completely on the fabric when you are cutting your fabric into strips. I also found that I had to adjust my 1/4" seam just a smidge---this is where that "scant" seam allowance comes in. Make a few practice HST with scraps before you start your project to make sure you have the hang of it before you cut into your "real" fabric. Someone who is experienced would probably know these things, but I had to work with the ruler a little to figure them out. I am giving the tool four stars because the instructions could be more detailed and beginner-friendly.

Thought I'd never need this ruler...

Making half square triangles...easy peasy! Until I need to conserve every bit of the jelly roll! Enter easy angle ruler. It is so easy to use and accurate, I was able to use the entire jelly roll strip and only have a 1/8 th inch piece left over. So, so glad I had this ruler!! I will use it regularly!!

Super easy to use

I had never used an easy angle triangle before and absolutely love this. It is the perfect size for squares or triangles less than 5 inches. I'm fairly new to quilting and am very glad I found this. It makes making those squares and especially triangles super, super easy and fast.

Nifty tool

Bought to help speed up and more accurately cut triangles. Works well and another notion for my collection. Why struggle or guess when these little helpers are available?! Will be buying a few as little treats for Christmas.

Good Little Ruler

I ordered this specifially to use on a Mystery Quilt, since the leader said it would be extremely helpful. There were no detailed instructions on the wrapping and I had never used an angled ruler before. It took me quite awhile to figure out how to use the darned thing, but now that I know I'm sure it will come in handy. I have since learned of an even easer way to cut and piece the particular segments I need, but this thing will no doubt be useful another time down the road.
