It works but your mileage may vary.

There is a reason why this device is so affordable. It's all in the plastic construction. it worked fine for 2 weeks; then it stopped working. It would heat water but the water was blocked from getting to the coffee. There is a YouTube video showing how to correct this problem. My opinion is that the overall design is clever but the small metallic tube will have a tendency to clog, preventing water from getting to the coffee. This is annoying but it can be fixed.

Cheap, simple, and more or less durable

I carry this machine with me on the road, in rough environments and I. I have chosen this brewer because I can fit my Thermos 16 oz travel mug (~7" tall). It is surviving over a year brewing 2-3 K-cups 5 days/week, plus a few cups during the weekends. Definitely, it is not idiot proof: there is no sensor to detect that the lid is open. Therefore, if you press the brew button without closing the lid, be prepared for a hot shower.

Failed again

My first Chefman failed after a couple months. Fortunately it was replaced free if charge. However, after about a year, it now fails to heat coffee adequately. I've been making coffee but for 3 months now have to zap it a full minute on high in the microwave to get a good hot (but not too hot to drink) cup of coffee. My Chefman does not get heavy use; I live alone, maybe make 1 cup (never 2) 4 days / week. Very disappointing!!!!

Single Person Use!

I love this coffee maker! It’s very easy to clean, makes coffee LITERALLY under a minute, and leaves the coffee to a perfect temperature. I use my YETTI and the height catches the coffee perfect. I’d recommend the tall YETTI not a small cup because it will splash out! Kcups are my preference, I don’t use grounds so I don’t know how well the reusable filter works. Size is great fits right in the corner of my counter. Makes a little whirling noise when the coffee is finishing the brew but nothing alarming. Highly recommend!

Great…BUT…

I want to love this for it size alone, it’s perfect with its approx 6x5 footprint on my counter. Very easy to clean and load but there is one problem..it seems to use/waste a lot of coffee. This could be me using it incorrectly but there isn’t too much wiggle Room on ways to operate it…fill basket with cofee and at water. It usually takes 4 heaping scoops for a large dark cup of coffee…that seems like a Lot more then I was using with my French press

Messy

The size of the product is great but over 50% of the time I have a ton of coffee grounds in my coffee to the point I have to strain it again. There has been multiple times where the lid pops open because of the pressure and coffee grounds go everywhere. Had I known this was an issue I would have spent the extra $30 for a better product. The only reason I’m still using it is because I refuse to buy a new coffee machine less than a year later when I paid the amount I did for this product.

Love this product!

I could not be happier with this coffee maker! The price is excellent! It is sleek/compact and looks nice on my counter. It is tall enough to fit a travel size mug. I use my own grounds instead of k-cups and the basket it came with is a bit larger so I can use more grounds if I want... plus it has a little handle and more screen space so it's easier to empty and clean out after use.

Love the idea

Love that its light weight and compact. But the rubber bottom the you set the coffee cup on keeps falling out. And I've used keirages before and had just water come out. Not sure why. Works most of the time.
