Decent product but not for SleepNumber beds

This product is advertised as being good for most adjustable beds, something most rails are not compatible with. While it does accommodate adjustable beds, it cannot be installed as instructed on SleepNumber beds. The frame uses straps for standard beds, but requires you to screw into the platform of an adjustable bed. This is the problem. SleepNumber adjustable beds don't have a platform frame to screw into, nor does the mattress separate from the platform enough to use a screw gun. We were able to retrofit it using the straps toward the middle of the SleepNumber bed however, it's not a great solution. I find it peculiar that it advertises as "fits most adjustable beds" yet SleepNumber (the major adjustable bed manufacturer in the US) isn't supported based on the manufacturers installation requirements. Even the manufacturers answers to another persons SleepNumber question makes you think it's compatible. But I can attest that it is not compatible. We may return it since it's not quite as advertised, and may not be safe as is, we haven't yet decided. That said, it's not a bad product if you don't have a SleepNumber bed, just not a realistic solution for SleepNumber people.

Excellent product

This is saving my husband from falling out of our adjustable bed. It was a two person job to strap it around the frame but is very secure once done. The bar easily attaches and removes and easily extends for night use. I’m so glad I spent the money.

A much need addition to my bed

The side rail is sturdy. I have a Tempur-Pedic, King with double twin mattress and bed frames. With a little extra help from my neighbor, we were able to attach to the mattress.

Good assist in and out of bed

Got this for my future father-in-law. He suffers from a back injury that has limited his mobility to a great extent. This allows him to get in and out of bed easier; a task that has increasingly become an ordeal for him. With this, he can get to a seated position on the edge of the bed and transfer himself to his walker. Seems to be built to last, but we'll see and I'll update if we encounter any issues related to quality.

It is sturdy and stable. A good quality product and meets our needs. It provides the support. However I would have liked the grab rail to have some padding for comfort and secure grip. The product itself works as intended.

Not. for an adjustable bed!

I purchased this because it was supposed to fit an adjustable bed. I researched for a long time and found a model that was supposed to screw into the. base, this is NOT what I got! When I finally found someone to install it, the return window was closed. this is a lot of money down the drain. Very upset!!!
