I like it

Good little pill cutter, with storage compartment. I like that it isn’t easy to cut yourself on it if you are just rummaging around in a basket or drawn trying to find it (happened with my old one all the time).

Buy It. It's worth the money.

I recently decided I needed a pill splitter, because I bought Glucosamine pills on Amazon that are huge - they're like thick bullets - and I can't swallow big pills. All of the other splitters I bought were less than £3 in cost, and whilst the pills fit in two of the ones I tried, they didn't fit in all of them. Plus the ones they do fit in feel very fragile and I'm worried they will start to crack or break from the stress soon. This splitter is the most expensive one I've bought, but the design looked to be very good so I decided to give it a go. Plus the reviews helped a lot. It is definitely worth spending a little extra money and buying this item. Not only is it produced with users safety in mind by keeping the blade in the bottom of the unit, but I feel the extra plastic wedge type blade in the lid makes it a far better splitter since it's using force from bottom & top to split pills. Not only that, but the holder portion is flexible so it can even hold those pesky larger pills. I had no problem at all splitting my giant bullet pills in half. In fact it was so easy that even with Lupus causing my hands to swell and be near useless, I only had to push down firmly on the splitter with the heal of the palm on one hand and the pill split without much effort at all. With the other splitters I feared they would snap and break as I had to use so much force to split my pills. I agree with other reviewers and say that this is definitely the best pill splitter I've tried and well worth buying.

Precise, easy to use and reliable

I bought this item 5 years ago, and am still splitting pills with it today. It's a brilliant tool for dividing even tiny tablets cleanly in half. It has a little compartment to catch and hold the pieces, so it can also serve as a pill container for the halves you've made. I'm so glad I've got this product and feel compelled to give it a good review after all the years of service it's given me (and still going strong!)

won't smash the atom but will shatter pills

When I found that my medication was no longer available in the dose I need. The lower dose believe it or not has a hard to swallow, at least for me, pill size. I tried cutting the pill, round enteric coated, in half each time they smashed. Gave up in the end and negotiated with my GP and pharmacist to find a suitable alternative. The next job for the pill splitter will be the cat's worm tablets

Inferior to 2016 version of same product

I bought one of these in 2016 and it was brilliant. So, because the blade seemed to be getting a bit blunt, I bought another in 2018. Although exactly the same name as the 2016 version, this is an inferior product. The construction is simpler (cheaper?) and - in contrast to the 2016 version - it does not hold a pill well enough to cut into 2 then 2 (4 total). Its OK cutting into 2 along the pill's indent line, but cutting a half into 2 results in different sizes or just dust. Although I was delighted with the 2016 version and would have given it 5 stars, this is an inferior product by the same company sold at the same price.

Very impressed

Great pill cutter. I'm reducing my Citalopram from 20mg to 15mg and this cuts the pill almost perfectly every time. It maybe out by a few micrograms as in my opinion it's impossible to cut a pill perfectly, but this is the closest I've seen. Just place the pill on the rubber V shaped holder, which holds well and press down. It even has a safety panel of plastic so when you open it, you can't accidently cut yourself. Great product, great price n fast delivery.
