4 inch clamp broke

I like the large clamps and it is worth buying this set just for them. The small clamps are more delicate and one of them broke with minimal use after one week of light use. Would like the small clamp replaced but I don’t want to send the entire set back just to get the small clamp. Does not appear to be an option to discuss with anyone at Amazon.

Did I get a used item?

I didn't choose to buy used clamps; however, this sticker was on the inner box that contained the clamps. Possibly being used aside, the clamps seem to be exactly as described. I'm only using these for light duty in my art studio and I think they'll be more than perfect for that. No glaring problems, issues, or complaints.

Great little set

This is a great little set. I may never use the smaller ones as they're really tiny, but the 6-inch are exactly what I was looking for.

Functional product

Work fine as spring clamps. Swivel pads like to pop out at the wrong times however when you are applying them.

Not the best

These are not the best compared to my other brands. I do not think they provide the clamping strength of more expensive clamps. That being said if you have a need for holding something in place then for the price they do the job.

Lips are not even

All 4 bigger size clamps have uneven lips, no matter how hard I close it. Not great. Hard to use. I have other brand clamps, like husky or dewalt, all closed evenly.

Great set of clamps at a decent price

So lets do things a little different. I am gong to tell you about the only minor flaw first. When you want to reverse the clamps and use them as spreaders you have to unscrew the bolt holding the far jaw. It's not quick release. There we go, that is the worst thing I can say about these clamps. Everything else works well, they are reliable, they feel of good quality and they simply do the job without any issues. What more do you need to know. So would I recommend or buy again, without a second thought. These are great at a great price. If you have the cash I would buy the quick release type, but these are usually a good bit dearer.

Basic quality but very useful

These clamps arrived in a plain box, with minimal plastic. I ordered them to use with my0 light box and backgrounds, for photographing my artwork. Everything else I have tried either falls off or doesn't sit properly. Having a range of sizes is great. The clamps are quite basic, and average quality but fine for what I need. They are rather hard to use, my hands aren't very strong but even allowing for that the clips are pretty tough. Then again, if they were too flimsy that wouldn't be ideal either! Currently priced at £15.09 for the set. I hope you find this review helpful, thanks for reading.

If you need something strong get a proper clamp. If it's something light you are doing, these are good value.

A great set of strong clamps.

I was happy to try these 'AmazonBasics 14-Piece Nylon Spring Clamp Set - 6 Pieces 8.57 cm, 4 Pieces 11.43 cm, 4 Pieces 16.51 cm' as dolls house is my hobby and I am always needing clamps to hold glued items together etc. 1. You get 14 clamps in an Amazon Basics branded presentation box that will be also handy to store them in. They do each have a hole in the handles, so could be hung up on hooks above the work bench. 2. There are 4 large, 4 medium and 6 small clamps, made of nylon and with really meaty metal springs. 3. The large clamps have a very powerful spring, that took me two hands to open fully. 4. The medium and small are easier to open but still feel very strong and well made. I am sure they are not going to ping apart at an important moment. 5. All three types opened wide enough to clamp around the edge of my dining table that is 3cm deep, Although the larger two will open further still, as you can see by the photo - the small one has closed handles, whereas there is still distance for the next two to be at full stretch/opening. 6. At the tips of opening part of the clamps there are two pivoting hard pads to angle to the right position to hold your items. 7. They will be very handy for my dolls house structure, furniture making and card etc., crafting. In summary - A good set of strong clamps that are good value at £15.06 in my opinion.

A bargain for 4 simple to use, quality clamps

Nothing wrong with these Amazon Basics clamps at all. The 10.16cm / 4" clamps are very deceptive and can sturdily secure work in place unobtrusively because of their slim design. The larger 15.24cm / 6" pair are excellent for larger jobs. For a DIY enthusiast I'd be very happy to recommend these.
