It works but there are some things to be aware of

It was easy to setup and adjust into different sizes and configurations. Super easy to take down and move around and it doesn't take up much room in a car if you need to transport this with you. The rubber feet are awesome and will not scratch our hardwood floors. However, it is not super sturdy depending on the configuration you set it up in. For example, if you set it up as a square you will get a lot of swaying if a dog jumps up on the sides where the two pieces meet. If you set it up in an octagon you don't get as much swaying. There are two cons that you need to be careful of. 1) make sure when you place the rods to join the sections together you do not try and adjust the angles too much or the rods will get stuck. The rods are not round. They are designed to hold the angle between the sections when you setup your pen. If you try and force the two attached section with the rods installed they will get stuck and will be hard to pull out from in-between the sections. Not a big issue you just need to be aware when setting up in the octagon shape. 2) The pen is very light. Our 10 week old golden puppy figured out that she can push under the walls (especially in the corners) and get out. Even if the pen was a little heavier I think our puppy could have done that. It will depend on your dog or whatever you are putting in the pen.

I am impressed by the sturdiness and ease of assembly of this product. I bought it to keep my beagle out of the cat box. I was so pleased to find that I was able to create two separate safe areas for my cat boxes with this one product. It’s tall enough the dog won’t go in and low enough that my cats can go over. I’m very pleased!

The Perfect Setup

This pen is the perfect setup for my two new 8week old American Bully pups. I’m surprising my daughter with them this weekend. I watched tons of reviews from various pen setups and love how flexible I can get with this setup. I am debating buying a second pen to further extend a play area since I have two pups but for now they are small enough to fit in here for bed time, light play time when I can’t have eyes on them while I’m working or on remote calls. Once they are trained I’ll keep the door open so they can come and go as they please. I am in a 2bd apartment and have a large balcony so I’ll keep their potty pads out on the balcony via a pad holder so they can get used to going outside and not where they sleep/play. I have washable no slip pads down for now for accidents and then will keep their food and water bowls outside of the pen, again just during training but I do have plenty of space to put it in there when needed. I am super happy with this pen. It took less than 10min to assemble without looking at the directions. It’s pretty straight forward. One tip when inserting the feet (especially if you don’t read the instructions like me lol) turn the feet vertically to inset them in the little slots on the bottom, then turn the feet horizontal to lock it in place and you’re golden!!

Perfect for my Bichon poo!!

Very good quality and super easy to assemble. My puppy has been using it for almost 3 months now. We first set it up to it's full size. It was very roomy for her and we had her food & water dishes along with a bed and toys in it. However, at night she did not like to be alone, so we broke it down into 2 smaller type crates/playpens and we now have one downstairs in the living area and the other in the bedroom for the night. Having 2 smaller crates rather then one large crate/playpen there is plenty of room for her. She sleeps great all night long and is very content & happy during the day.

A good investment & multi-purpose use

Purchased for our puppy, he's a small Cavapoo who will eventually grow to be no more than 22lbs. We got this to be able to put him in it while we're away at work or running errands. Our future intentions as he grows is to be able to travel with him, this would mean bringing the playpen with him where we go (if it fits). Ideally, we were looking for a lightweight, easy to move, easy to build and collapse playpen that would also be easy to hose down. The door for the playpen is easy to use, similar to the latches for a plastic carrier. The plastic it is made of seems good and sturdy - More to update when our puppy moves into his new home. I have a few recommendations, I'd like to eventually see it has retrofitted pieces that allow you to turn it into a 'fence' or 'barrier' that allows you to have panels stand alone without it linking into a polygon. In addition, something that can allow you to secure it to the wall without using screws or nails. Update: May 19, 2020: The pen is easy to dismantle and put together. the hexagonal steaks give it a guide and allow for a secure structure. I am 5-ft and my boyfriend is 6-ft tall, both of us are able to dismantle, assemble and put away in a trunk with a 2.5 ft height without issue. *I'd recommend using some ties to keep them together from sliding around and for easy transport. We also used a clear table cloth (a cheap dollarama one) to line the bottom in case the puppy had any accidents and stepped in it. This helped keep the area clean.

Wobbly and not stable, waste of money

The worst puppy pen I ever had, wobbly and would bend under the weight of the puppy. Don’t Easter your money, buy better quality. Cannot refund now as postage is very expensive, the box is heavy and huge

We will be using this for when we go out and when our puppies come. The 8 pieces are great for the dogs which can be changed into 6 pieces when the pups are here. Recommend for sure but destructive dogs could probably chew it bad. My dog's aren't chewers.

Works with some flaws

Over all it works for our Lab puppy and has advantage of panels locking unlike most. The rubber stoppers that you press into bottom of each panel are impossible to insert by hand. If you use your hand only the panels wobble when up. You have to use pliers and pull them through hole till they seat flat. Be aware that it is ONLY sturdy in shape shown in picture, don’t bother trying a rectangle .Door lock mechanism should be improved. You have to be very diligent when closing and visually check or press in at top and bottom of door to hear lock click in

Didn’t know that dog hair came with it

This is my 3rd dog pen. I have another 2 for my other dogs, so I know this product. The fact that it came covered in black dog hair… was definitely shocking, coming from Amazon. That was photos of what it looked like when I opened the box. That was nothing to what I found on the each sections. I had to sanitize the either pen, and I’ll be washing it again before use. Now, for the product…. I have 3 bulldogs, and it holds. If your dog moves it, you can take a weight or something on the side. I did that with the 2 I already have, and they haven’t moved since that 1 time. I’ve taken the two, and placed them to create a larger one. You can peg it to the ground outside, and It held up to my puppy. My dogs don’t mind bedtime, with their dog beds. Overall, I love this product. I waited too long for the white to come in stock, and have 3 different colors, but it was time. Other then the hair.. this product was great for what I use it for. I have no complaints except the dog hair. I get that it’s “used” but wiping it up before resale goes a long way.
