The 210# coated leader wire size is 1.22.mm OD...

Ok here's the scoop... I ordered the 210# wire, it suggested the .116in crimps for it... WRONG too big... So I used veneers to measure the diameter of the wire, I got 1.22mm the .116in = 3.03mm ID, so I don't know where they got their pairing from, but it's wrong... I haven't used the fishing leader wire yet, just making the leaders to my spec's for the next ocean adventure...

Tangles - Honest Review

This is not bad, BUT....It does twist rather easy and it will stay in a tangled condition. I used it in the surf and encountered some tangles. Took some weights and let it hang free for a couple weeks, in an attempt to straighten the leader to re-use. But it remained tangled.

I have tied some snelled leaders and the work like all my stranded leaders do

I received the leader 2 days ago and haven't had the chance to use it yet. However, I have used nylon coated stranded wire before and they all work as they suppose to. I rated this leader 5 stars because of the apparent quality. I have tied some snelled leaders and the work like all my stranded leaders do. I used the word tied because thats what I do. Instead of using sleeves I tie figure 8 knots to attach hooks and swivels.

Very flexible

Use an Albright or double uni knot to tie this to your line. I bought the crimper and sleeves (really not needed) to tie the other end to my lure. I have not noticed any reduction in bites using this. I use this primarily on lures that provoke northern pike/muskie strikes such swim jigs, chatter baits and spinnerbaits, etc. Even though the knot will go through your rod guides, do not cast the knot that way. You WILL wear the braid/mono.

its OK but i will not get and use heavier than a 20 lb for casting. The 20 seem thick, surely a 30 would be thicker therefore harder to tie and kinda more visible. For trolling, the heavier lines may be OK and more suitable.

Great for Surf Fishing

I use this wire while surf fishing with no issues. The red color looks cool and catches fish. I would recommend if fishing for toothy fish.

Stiff and good for uptraces. I use it for when I am fishing a drifter float and don't want bite offs above the main trace.
