Measuring is the key

Been using these for years. Careful measurement and attention will ensure that you will order the correct size. Most of the reference charts out there are unreliable; do your own measuring.

A bit undersized

I put this on a Vortex Crossfire 2 1-4 x 24 scope. I measured the ocular - eye end - at 44mm. The Zeroing ring was a bit smaller. Once received it fit well on the zero wing but wouldn't go further onto the scope body. However the fit is tight on the ring and I'm leaving it there. one thing, the scope is on an AR15 and the charging handle is below it. The cap release lever is hit with the finger when charging. Just so you know. The delivery was very quick.

What can I say that has not already been said? You can buy better quality covers for a lot more money, you can buy cheaper scope covers that aren't near as good. These are sturdy usable flip up covers that are a great value for the money. They have them in a large selection of sizes and if you choose the right size they fit perfectly and work as intended. They do exactly what I want for the amount of money that I am willing to spend. I do really like the Leopold Alumina scope covers but I am not willing to spend the asking price when the Butler Creek covers do a good job.

Butler Creek is always good to go!

Have never been let down by Butler Creek - the spring open is strong and the closing mechanism just works exactly how you'd like it to: secure and tactile. These generally fit pretty tight if you measure your lens housing correctly, so just make sure you measure twice and look up the size charts!

All in all the product does as it says. Service was good.

Seems to be just right for the job but s*** myself when it did not fit. The materials is a little stiff and the outer circumference of the cap was the same as the scope. It is a snug fit in this case so you might feel a bit better if you take the next size up or soften the cap in warm water but it does go on with a little patients. As it takes a while for it to come through I would suggest going for the next size up and at least you can shim it up with tape. From the manufactures a softer more pliable material would be better for greater expansion. And to make it easier. The sizing chart for me was a little confusing the best way would be to measure the scope outer circumference and the Chart should show the inner circumference.
