If you commute with your bike, you should get these (or something similar)
I had these installed in the e-bike I was purchasing. I only had about 4 hours to test them but didn't have a flat during that time. I returned the e-bike because it didn't perform as specified. If you commute by bicycle or e-bike, you'll save yourself a lot of aggravation by having this or something else to reduce the likliehood of punctures. On bicycles, punctures rarely happen immediately (except with some of the new tubeless tires). It takes time for a thorn, tack, or piece of glass to first penetrate the tire, then it has to penetrate the tube. By adding a layer of protection between the tire tread and tube, you've increased the amount of time it will take for the object to pierce the tube. That being said, if you run over some known sharp stuff (eg broken glass), take the time to clean it off your tires so it doesn't work its way into the tire. Clean off your tires after each ride, and you'll reduce the risk of punctures happening even more. Having the liner will help a lot, providing you clean the tires from debris. If you're weight sensitive (a performance junkie), you won't want these in your tires except perhaps on training rides. They add enough wieight to increase the energy required to overcome inertia, and that's a performance disadvantage in a race.

Anything to avoid a flat tire.
It’s difficult to know how many flats these prevent, but I do know that before using them I’d often get flats. I live in a very thorny desert area, so flats are common. I commute twice daily for work and ride on weekends. I installed these on a new road bike that I have put approximately 300 miles on so far without a flat tire.

contradictory instructions
The tire liners are fine, not a bid deal to put them in the tires. My problem was with the instructions on which side of the liner faces the tire and tube. The box states that the side with the silver strip faces the tire & the blue side faces the tube, but on the the liner itself there is a sticker on the silver side or tire side that states that this side faces the tube? So which is it, and does it matter? Mark

Saved kids tires
Worth the money my son was running over thorns atheist once a week. Got tired of changing tunes often. Been on his bike for a while now and still no punctures.

Still holding up
Used for my old urban bike where the inner tube had essentially disintegrated in that the tube tore at the presta valve connection. Installed replacement tube in combination with this liner and so far so good but the jury is still out as it hasn't had that much/extended use yet but appears to be holding up nicely. Definitely recommend this one over other brands.

Great Way To Stop Goatheads - See My Review On Installation
This is a great product at a great price but the installation instructions are poorly written so I'd like to clarify. While the instructions on the package are technically correct, the yellow sticker can confuse. The sticker says "install with this side facing tube", yet it is on the same side as the silver strip, which has to face the tire!! (see pictures). Let me re-write those instructions on the yellow sticker for the manufacturer: "install this END so that it overlaps the other END, and so that this END is next to the tube. The yellow sticker, since it's on the silver side, will actually face the tire. As the package instructions correctly state, "make sure the silver side is pointing out, and that the taper-tipped stickered end is overlapped facing the tube". This will create a small / gentle "lump" in your tire so obviously these aren't meant for serious / competition bikes, they are meant to keep goathead thorns from flattening the tires on your transportation bike.

So far so good.
I live in the desert so thorns are pretty rough. Hopeful.

Quality Product
Quality product. They take a bit of patience to install properly as does any protective liner. Installed these on stock 26" mtb tires. TIPs - (Instructions are a bit vague.) Silver side faces tire - blue side faces tube. Start w/ bare end so you end up w/ tapered yellow end on top. Trim length (on the end opposite the yellow tapered end) if you like. Recommend a minimum of an inch or two of overlap, however, to ensure full coverage. I hadn't installed liners in many moons so a bit of brushing up was in order. YouTube proved a great resource as always. RECOMMENDATION: While I had the tires disassembled, replaced stock tubes w/Continental 26" Schrader Valve Tube - 26 x 1.75-2.5cc . REASONS: Metal Valve Stem & Better quality tube. Metal valve stem on these tubes, like a Presta valve stem, has a lock nut. B/c the lock nut keeps the valve stem pulled up thru the rim, inflating a flat tire is a cinch - particularly w/ respect to getting the pump head connected to the valve stem. (A stem not locked into place has a tendency to duck down into the tire - very frustrating when attempting a repair during a ride in adverse conditions.) NOTE: There are differing opinions on this point (to keep a valve stem lock nut tightened or not). I choose to tighten the lock nut against the rim (on Presta and Shrader stems) during inflation only. All other times I leave the lock nut backed off the rim 1/8 to 1/4 inch or so (to prevent stress on stem). INTENTION FOR ADDING THESE TIRE LINERS (and the aforementioned tubes): To improve tires' integrity & reliability as well as safety...Peace of mind...
