Cute toy but silver fades easily

My 4 year old son really wanted a trumpet- we searched and searched and without paying over $100 for a real one, this looked like the best deal. The trumpet and sax are really cute and they do work- you can play little songs on them. They’re super light weight which is great for little ones. My only complaint is that we’ve had them for a week and the silver is already rubbing off. Maybe my boys just have extra grubby hands haha

Fun toy

My 2 1/2 year old can play these. As long as you keep them off the floor they will last a long time. Buttons and keys are good quality.

Fun little toy

Makes a great gift for kids. Fun to play simple little tunes on it, and you can actually play it; it's not just some device that plays little songs for you. So kids will have with it. Only offers a little as a real instrument, though.

Better than expected gift

I got these for my 3-year-old who loves music instruments. I was scared of what was signing up for, but they are not too loud and they only make noise if you press a button and blow at the same time, so they are always making a specific note and it is hard for my kid to keep on blowing making lots of noise. They are very flimsy though. The trumpet has held well, but some of the keys of the saxophone don't work well anymore after 3 months of use.

More Like Sax and Bugle

This really is a fantastic toy set for getting young kids interested in playing instruments. The trumpet only plays 4 notes, one per button, so its functionally more like a bugle than a trumpet. My husband, who played trumpet for 7 years, was able to teach our 5 year old to play "First Call" and my husband could play some of "Revelie" and "Taps" on it. The saxophone plays 8 notes. Still learning with that one. My only complaint is that two of the keys on the trumpet/bugle are the same color, which creates some confusion. The 'sheet music' on the back of the box is confusing and limited. We also didn't want to keep the box. I would have appreciated a pamphlet or booklet with several more song options, and instructions that were more geared towards a young child's reading capabilities. Overall, still really pleased that we purchased this for our son's 5th birthday.

You have to blow the instruments rather hard, other than that, my son loves them!

Quality, lightweight instrument that kids and adults will love

I purchased these instruments after my daughter (3 years old) asked Santa for a “musical instrument horn”. I ordered them quickly without looking too much into them. I have to say, I have been so impressed with these. They are very lightweight so they’re easy for her to hold and they actually function like real instruments. Each key sounds different. I question their durability because they’re so lightweight, but we have been using them everyday for a few weeks and we haven’t had any issues yet. My daughter loves them and everyone who comes over (kids and adults) wants to try them out. I would for sure order these again. They were a hit!

Fantastic!

I have a 3 year old daughter and 18 month old son who love making music whether with proper or play instruments. We have a piano, guitars, bass guitar, bongos, recorder, harmonica etc and a play keyboard, dance mat and percussion instruments. My daughter asked for a saxophone and when I saw this set with the trumpet I was delighted. It's great value, looks good, they have figured out how to play them and they aren't too loud! They have survived two toddlers since Christmas so they are reasonably robust. They come with some colour-coded tunes on the back of the box which I think might be a little bit advanced for now but when she gets to 4, I'll try her on it because I will teach them to read music at about 6 and this will be a good introduction.

These were a Christmas present and unfortunately the saxophone was marked but didn’t have time to return it in time for Christmas. However my grandson didn’t notice and loves them.
