This is a beautiful, well made coat that will keep you warm & toasty. I am not a skier but one does not have to be to love this coat. The discounted price & look is right;-) The black & white motif is outstanding as you will definitely stand out while wearing it. Perfect

Zipper ripped after one use

An Excellent Winter Jacket

Columbia's Abbott Peak ski jacket in white typo print looks stylish, feels ultra warm and comfortable, and keeps out even the wildest weather. The fit is perfect and the polyester fabric is padded with Thermarator insulation. The abstract lettering looks fantastic - it gives the jacket an art-deco look which I prefer to solid-colour ski jackets. The Omni-Heat thermal-reflective lining reflects body heat back inwards rather than letting it dissipate out. This is an extremely effective way of staying warm (it's the same principle as metallic space blankets so beloved by climbers - a godsend for anyone stuck in the mountains overnight). As far as warmth goes, this Columbia jacket is phenomenal. The exterior is fully waterproof - even the zips. One handy design feature is the ski-pass pocket, which can be accessed without opening the jacket - an important consideration when you want to stay warm on the slopes. This pocket is also handy for storing compasses, GPS units or mobile phones while you're climbing, trekking or hill-walking. There's no easy ingress for snow when the jacket's fully zipped with the hood up. Neck coverage is total, and both sleeves plus the bottom of the jacket have inner skirting to keep out the elements. The sleeves even have what the manufacturer calls "comfort cuffs" with thumb holes - a sort of half glove that is fairly effective at keeping hands warm but which can also fit easily under full gloves. Another practical design feature. I have no criticisms of this jacket. It's supremely comfortable and warm. Waterproofing is perfect. The materials are anti-allergenic and non-toxic (unlike, for example, Gore Tex, which is loaded with hideous perfluorocarbons). On top of all that, the jacket looks amazing. Five stars all the way.

Superb ski jacket that is extremely warm

Great jacket with a unique style that is not too flashy but subtle in its execution. The fitting is really nice and snug and was worn while away at the coast which was extemely chilly in an evening, however you would never know while wearing this even to the point of needing less clothing if wearing it (it is that warm) The reflective properties are also very good no danger of you not being seen at night in this coat, great for casual wear and an absolute necessity on a colder day/evening. Lots of pockets for storing you phone, keys etc and adjustable wrist straps to really keep out that wind. Lovely made jacket well worth it

Great design and quality product

Great fitting coat with all the modern features to make it perfect for skiing! Very warm from the moment you put it on, the fitted sleeve/cuffs are great and will prevent the cool air going between gloves and sleeves. The high neck is very good and with padded hood feels very warm. The inner elasticated waist feature adds further extra warmth.

Generous fitting

I’ve wanted a decent winter coat for awhile and got this, the design isn’t something I’d usually go for but it has a modern twist to it which I like, however the bottom half being off white I’m not keen on as it looks dirty already. Comfort has got to be a 10/10, it’s really snug and warm but I found the reflective inner did really heat the heat in so much so that I was sweating on a freezing winter night so when taking it off give my body a bit of a shock, I know it’s aimed for skiing but I’ll not be doing that any time soon. There are multiple pockets that are a good depth and I actually keep finding more the more I wear it, very handy! I got a size medium which I think was Uk 10, but I as as 14 fit in it easily. I was bone dry after being out in a flash storm and no rain penetrated that top layer so very weatherproofed. It’s ideal for day to day wear or more active wear.
