For my kitchen & bathroom pantries

So far this seems to be working. I have this very large one placed in a pantry in the kitchen. That pantry holds all my dry goods and spices. I was tired of having the spices clump together in a rock-hard mass and having bread mold really fast. I have smaller ones of these bags in my bathroom pantry where I keep cleaning items and my laundry basket. I can tell more easily that that is working because it's not as dank after just a few days. I'm in Northern Iowa - where the summers are extremely humid. I can collect at least 6 cups of moisture from my dehumidifier every 30 hours or so. I like that these are priced well and that they can (hopefully) be "re-charged" as is claimed. The one frustration is that they must be laid out pretty flat.

It Works! No Fuss, no Mess!

I could not find these locally, so had to order them. They work! They are easy to use! When they have fulfilled their purpose, they form into a gel. So, there is no liquid mess to deal with. You just toss it in the trash. There is no odor! Another brand touts a "fresh smell" that is very unappealing to me. Concrobium is a very good brand, and I highly recommend it. I used an XL one of these in a crawl space, and I could tell that it was doing what it was supposed to be doing, drawing moisture out of the air. I set it in one of those inexpensive, disposable, baking tins so it wouldn't be on the ground, and let it do it's thing. Mine did not last as long as I thought it would, but it all depends on where you put it.

No more humid bathroom!

Bought this for use in my small bathroom that has no window and an ineffective fan. My HVAC recently broke so I can no longer run the house fan I usually run during & after a shower. Even with trying to take cooler showers, humidity was so heavy in the air and going into other rooms. Couldn't even open windows in other rooms because of smoke from wildfires. Needed something quick to clear this unhealthy situation. Didn't want to use products that collect water in a container- I would surely knock it over. Found this item that is supposed to stay dry. Didn't have high expectations that this one packet could take care of all the humidity, but thought I'd give it a try to see if it could help. Let me tell you, not only did it help, but the first time I put it out & took a shower, I had to leave the house for a little over an hour right after. When I got back, that bathroom felt drier than when my fan was working. The even more shocking thing was my bathmat was almost completely dry in that short time. Since moisture in the bathroom was taken care of, the rest of the house did not feel humid at all, which was a change. Only recently, I noticed the air wasn't clearing very well after a shower and the connecting bedroom was all humid. I checked the packet & it was almost completely gel-like, so that was why- can't hold anymore water and needs to be replaced. I can't get over how great this one packet works in a super steamy environment. I plan on continuing to use this even after I get my HVAC fixed.

They're absorbing! Yay!

I won't know for a while if they're making a huge difference but I've suspected for a while our dehumidifier hasn't been doing enough. There's no airflow in our basement and it's always musty. We set off a mold fogger and put around a couple of these to help the dehumidifier out. After a couple weeks there is definitely liquid in them! I get so tired of buying Damp Rid. It's money down the drain! These are reusable and doing the job just as well from what I can see. Once full, just set them in the sunshine or pop them in the oven to dry out the crystals and you can put them back in their spots to do their thing.

These are the best. I use them everywhere.

These are the best desiccants you can find in this size. I've used them in outdoor equipment cabinets to prevent condensation, in cars, closets, gun safes, etc. They are very absorbent. The lifespan depends on your relative humidity of course. In equipment enclosures, the XL size lasts about a month, with the Florida humidity. In dryer climates like Colorado, they'll last for many months. I'll toss them in my closets or laundry room to prevent moisture build up. I have one in my garaged car to prevent any mold/mildew issues. They truly work.

This is an excellent product and works well; however, it costs 28.88 at Amazon and 8.97 at HomeDepot. You really have to know your prices.
