Great so far!

This unit did a fantastic job all winter long, drying gloves, boots and ski boots. It's compact enough to take on the road to other ski resorts (maybe a bit bulky if you're flying). I love the option to use heated air or unheated air. A note about drying taller/heavier items like ski boots or tall muck/rubber boots: follow the instructions and lay them flat on the floor - the arms are designed to rotate completely flat. This unit is lightweight, so propping heavy/tall items upside down with arms pointed upward won't work - just lay 'em flat on the floor, rotate the arms flat and insert the arms into boots. Voila!

Has another option that the older version does not

This particular version of the dryer has a digital clock and also lets you decide whether you want warm or cold air circulating through! Didn’t know that. Didn’t see it in the description

Great for ski gloves

So many dryers specifically say 'do not use for gloves'. When I found these I had to try them! They dry ski gloves and mittens quickly without overheating. The timer is very convenient. I just wish it was a little less bulky for travel (or a travel version), that's the only reason for 4 stars.

Does the job

This does the job with no complications. The digital meter isnt necessary if you want to save 10 or 15 dollars but its nice to see the timer count down. I work with bees so its a nice thing to bring on work trips with you

Excellent dryer. Lightweight & Portable. Nice air flow.

Great for drying gloves.

I bought this for the sole purpose of drying boxing gloves. Add a dryer sheet to prevent them from smelling like death.

Poor packaging, early fsilure

The media could not be loaded. Item arrived in original packaging which has absolutely no padding or protection. On first use I noticed a burning smell of electronics which I assumed to be because it was new. On the second use the fan began to rattle noisily and if I moved the dryer the fan bound-up and was very loud, and the burning smell continued. Also the bottom of the unit was quite hot. I was concerned this thing might start a fire and have returned it.
