Not good

It worked fine at first and then started spraying out and flats which I didn’t care for and then all together it’s not working only after using it twice I wouldn’t purchase this again

Practice Spraying First

Product is inexpensive and compact. My application was to spray an oil based house paint purchased from Home Depot. I thinned the paint according to the directions, but had problems with the atomization where initially occasional blobs of paint were hurled onto a sample board. Then the spray become too thin and runny. I don't know whether it was the fault of the gun ( probably not the case) or my lack of experience. So don't put too much faith in my 3 star rating since the spray gun could be great in the right hands yielding to a 5 star recommendation.. Therefore I am providing this review more to advise potential buyers that advance practice is required before the spray gun is used for an actual project.

Painting just got easier

The directions were pretty self explanatory. The hardest part was determining the thinning process. The paint sprayer makes painting more convenient and poses less strain on muscles and arms. It helps to establish even strokes and makes the room look like it was done by a professional. This sprayer definitely comes in handy and cuts down on time it would probably take doing it by hand. I would recommend this product to others. It's just very important that you read and follow the directions!!!!

Not suitable for viscous latex paints

Unfortunately it took me 6 weeks to get around to trying this sprayer, return window is 1 month, my mistake. I bought it to spray water based latex paint on to OSB plywood which I am using to line a garage space. My paint dealer recommended Killz Latex Multi-Surface Primer/Sealer/Stainblocker. It states on the can that it is suitable for airless spraying. It is quite viscous, the can states maximum thinning 1/2 pint water per gallon, I did that and mixed it thoroughly, but viscosity was still very high. The PaintWIZ was totally useless with this paint. Hardly any paint was getting through the nozzle. Just too viscous I guess. Wasted time straining the paint then wasted more time laboriously cleaning up the PaintWIZ. Waste of money and time! I then applied the Killz with a standard foam roller and got almost exactly the coverage stated on the can - so nothing wrong with the paint. Just not compatible with the PaintWIZ. Live and learn!

I was reluctant to purchase this sprayer since I had borrowed another named sprayer from a friend and did not have good results

I used it to stain my 17ft by 17ft deck and completed the task with ease without any problems and with minimal overspray. I was reluctant to purchase this sprayer since I had borrowed another named sprayer from a friend and did not have good results even though I had thinned the spray. The price for this sprayer was excellent so I decided to try again. I used a water based stain and had no problems even without thinning the product, the sprayer allowed cut hours off completing the task.

not worth it

works well only with liquids, with paint you have to water it down so much it take 3 coats to paint, time consuming.

Not worth it...

I followed the directions and thinned my oil based primer but it still only got through one small section before it started spitting out blobs of paint and then eventually died. Get a wide roller brush on a long pole and call it a day unless you have access to a pro
