Not as described. Not copper.

The information both on Amazon and the package is not accurate. Amazon shows a photo of “copper clad” clamps. What I got was nickel plated. The package had the stock number 14-630 on it as pictured on Amazon, but also said “nickel plated copper battery clips”. These stick to a magnet so are not copper! They do have a place for attaching a wire, (solder and crimp). The ones I received are well made with good spring pressure but thin metal (.014” or 1/64”). They do have a + and - embossed on both handles. The user guide PDF file is for a path light!

A little whimpy!

The build quality on these are not what i expected from the GB brand. The rivets making up the hinge and spring are weak and the material is pretty thin. I would classify them as for "light duty" only, as they certainly would not stand up to any punishing or frequent use.

Battery Clamp

I Am Not sure what It Is good for Its just like the clamps that come on a small battery charger which do Not have a very strong spring so make sure It Is clamped on the battery good or It will have a bad connection. No I doubt It Is strong enough to hold a wet blanket or a pair of pants for that matter the Pico or Motor Trend 500 Amp clamps are better for that.

They're OKAY

These guys aren't going to take a lot of use. Wouldn't recommend them unless you are going to use them for "VERY LIGHT DUTY" otherwise forget it. Fast Shipping Though Plastic Covers Come Off Real Easy - Too Easy Actually! Don't Recommend You Buy This Product. My Loss - Your Gain - Should you decide NOT to Buy. Shame on you if you do. . .

NOT 50 amp.

These are great clamps, mine even have + and - stamped on them into the copper clad. However, they are 30 amp clamps (as I suspect the "30" in the part number eludes to [14-630]). For most folks this likely will not matter, but for my project it did. Other than that, good quality product.

Replacement for battery charger clamps

The clamps on my charger rusted. I needed new ones. These seemed to be the same size (they were). I soldered the wires to the clamp (the old one had a mechanical crimp which lost contact with the rust). They work. Somewhat light in weight, but what do you want for the price?
