They Work!

So I found out I have slightly inverted nipples by my lactation consultant which was only half of my problems (my son also had a slight upper lip tie). So I figured I'd look into options that would help our breastfeeding journey. I eventually came across these and decided to try them out. They do work wonderfully to draw your nipple out for breastfeeding, however you need to be ready to breastfeed because they will go back to normal after a little bit. In the information packet it says that these can be worn under clothes... they certainly can be worn under your clothes, I've tried it, but it'll bring attention to your nipples as it's noticeable.... Also I feel these aren't intended for extended use as they will turn your nipples purple within a short time. So use them to draw out the nips only during your breastfeeding session and wash them for the next breastfeeding session as they will draw out some of your milk when suctioning them on.

Didn’t work

These didn’t work at all for me. They provided no suction. They seem very small as well and I have small nipples (15 mm)

Perky/Latcheable Nips!

My midwife suggested these because my nipples get oddly swollen postpartum making it impossible for baby to latch.. similar to an inverted nipple situation. After my first and second kid I used the Medela breast shells and they worked well enough, but didn’t pull just the tips out, they pulled out a bigger portion of my boob (plus they are really big and take longer to draw out the nipples). These are small and pull out the nipple quickly. I’m 33 weeks pregnant with my third and already dealing with the swollen nipples so I know it will be an issue postpartum. Tried these out and boom, perky/latcheable nips on demand!

I only used a couple times and work fine then!
