Good little fan for the price

I wasn't expecting a ton from this fan but it actually surprised me. I bought it for a cruise and I think it will work great I might even get a second one. You can use batteries, a USB port, or an outlet. The outlet connector is separate. Batteries work well for the purpose I bought it for. Will buy again.

Works as expected

This is a nice little desk fan. It isn't too noisy as some people suggested. It's a fan! So you going to hear a fan noise. It is powerful enough that I can feel the breeze from a distance. I have traveled with it to France twice. I use it primarily at night while sleeping. It worked great. It held up well in my suitcase and checked bag. I am heading back to France soon and will be taking it with me again. The only issue is, don't rely entirely on using batteries. In my experience, it drained the batteries pretty quick. Plus, the batteries added an extra weight to the lightweight of the fan. After the first quick battery depletion, I now use only electric power. Aside from that issue, I do like this fan and recommend it.

Best personal fan on the market!

I have been using this fan for years! It's perfect for personal use and easy to take on travels. The fan stand reverses to become a handle which makes the fan also versatile. The fan works either by plugging into electrical socket or AA batteries which makes it ideal for travels! This fan is great to use on airplanes. I love it so much I have actually purchased 3. One next to my bed which I use every night, one next to the chair I sit it, which I use all day long, and one to travel with. The fan wind is sufficiently pleasant and quiet. The fan is well made and the motor has lasted for many years of daily use. Highly recommend!

Perfect fan for those with tinnitus

I have tinnitus and this fan is a lifesaver for me when I travel. So easy to fit into a bag and easy to use with the USB cord. It produces a little amount of directional air just for your face for instance. However I got it mainly for the sound it produces so it would drown out the ringing in my ear and it does just that. It has been going for 2 years strong. I have also brought it camping with me with a portable charger (bought separately). It's really nice for a bit of air flow when I'm car camping. It lasted 10 hours!

Very versatile and there is a way to customize fan speeds

The fan is very versatile in term of portability and power source dependency. As the product information stated, I can hold it, hang it anywhere and it can stand on itself with multiple angles when it is on a flat surface. The instructions are also very clear about all of the functionalities. I need a fan because I am the only person who feels warm in the house most of the time. I want something small and light enough to carry around in the house and something doesn’t make loud noise. This fan seems to meet the criteria. It doesn’t have multiple settings for speed and there is no battery or USB adapter included in the package. It only has 1 on/off button for operation and 1 very short DC to USB cable, so drop one star. Due to its low price tag, versatility and the built quality, it is still a great value. The fan is strong enough to push air 3-4 feet around me and its noise level is acceptable. No annoying humming noise or any sounds from rattling parts like other cheap made portable fans I have used. I really like that it takes 4AA batteries for total power independence when I am using it at my backyard. Just a friendly warning. Be gentle with the battery compartment. The removable battery holder can only go one way and do not force it. If it doesn't go in easily, it is not being inserted correctly with the right orientation. It is hard to tell which side goes first either, so pay attention to it. The manufacturer should have put an arrow or something. And make sure to put the black ribbon in before the battery holder and leave part of the ribbon out, so the ribbon will let you pull the holder out easily. I learned it the hard way and I needed a plier when I forgot that the very first time. It can also take a DC power source from any power bank or any devices with a USB port. I actually have a few DC power adapters (100 mA to 400 mA) from those old electronics that were already recycled. They are just sitting around in my drawers. I kept them because somehow I knew they may be useful some day, and today is the day. They power this small fan perfectly. The fan can take a maximum of (0.5A) 500 mA in DC based on the safety guidance at the back of the fan, so it is perfectly safe to use my old DC adapters. I keep 1 around my couch, 1 in my office and 1 in my bedroom, so I don’t need to worry about batteries consumption often. I also noticed that the fan gives a very high speed when I use the 400 mA adapter, but it gives a very low speed when I use the 100 mA adapter, so now I can set my own fan speed setting according to my temperature preference and liking. It has been over a week now and it seems to be durable. I will update any irregularity and abnormal wear and tear. Hope it will last at least one summer, then I am getting my money worth.

It is a good portable fan

It is a good portable fan, but doesn't have much power. I tried two sets of batteries, and it didn't improve. It is good, but don't expect a lot of wind.

A game changer, especially in Motorhomes/campers. Don't leave home without one.

Honeywell has changed my life. From the first moment I searched small usb and battery powered fans until the day London heatwave had reached mid 30s in my office or even a motorhome trip away in the summer heat of the Mediterranean sunshine; this changed everything. Its so powerful for a small fan, I usually powered it from my laptop or power bank (minimal battery use) or you can even go old school and use 4xAA batteries. This will go on for a few days before the batteries die. You can use it so you can actually sleep at night and attach it to things. This is the perfect thing to take on campervan and motorhome travels - Spaceships rentals actually hire them out now! I have not left my house without a Honeywell stowed in my bag, or hand luggage for that matter. I liked this one so much I bought more and bought a human sized Honeywell for my Appartment. If you aren't on this honeywell train yet, (yes this works on a sweaty London tube too) you'll be wishing you were. This has meant a number of things for my life. - increased productivity - decreased sweat - decreased heat - increased cool factor - I can now sleep at night, yes even in motorhomes or campervans! - it has saved my life Get onboard!

Almost perfect!

This is a great portable fan. The airflow is fantastic for the relatively small size and weight, and using a portable phone battery pack, I was able to power this fan for hours and hardly wear down the battery at all. As well as being able to power this fan with the provided USB cable (using a mains plug adapter, or plugging the cable directly into a laptop or battery pack) it is also possible to fit 4x AA batteries into it and use it completely portable. It sits on a fold-out, adjustable stand, which doubles as something you can hang the fan from, if you don't have a surface to stand it on. My only two criticisms of the fan are: 1. No adjustable speeds, just the full power. 2. It's relatively noisy, though nothing compared to a full-sized fan. Just gives off a constant hum. Personally, I get used to it pretty quickly and it doesn't bother me too much. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase!
