It does the job

This is what I needed and it does it's job but it's pretty thin & I guess I just expected more from it because I could have gotten this locally at this quality. I bought mine as a temporary feeder tray for my baby ducks so they would have extra food inside the coops & I won't have to go out as early each day. Surprisingly they haven't torn it up yet so it must be sturdier than it looks. It seems like it would be fine for the intended purpose of starting seeds, no more special than any other I've seen though,

Not suitable for repurpose

The tray is what it is, it's a thin plastic tray well suited to containing water beneath small starter plants. From the description, I mistakenly thought the tray was of a thicker, more durable plastic and intended to repurpose for use as a pet litter tray for my guinea pig. It is not well suited to this heavier use. But, I am not complaining - the price was right to take a chance that it might work and this is always a risk when purchasing any item site unseen to use for a purpose other than that for which it was intended.. i did knock off a star not because it isn't up to heavier tasks but because even for its intended use, this is clearly a disposable item and the description should mention that it is.

I have 1 5gals in a tray , they bend the trat rim alittle but im not worried none

Trays for thr pros keeps the plants off the ground raised by an 1" thick durable and simple to clean , water runs out doesnt over flood .

Thin plastic, made in china, not meant for heavy loads or to carry anything. Works well with Hydrofarm's other products of similar dimensions. I would research a local Hydroponics shop in your area and call and ask about trays and pricing. 3 stars because the picture is not the tray you get, all those ridges on the bottom are not what you get. The design sent to me has a bunch of squares with two levels of crevasses. It serves its duty but is not what I expected, the pictured tray would allow water to be in a lot more areas of the tray than the tray with a square designed bottom sent to me can.

Basic flimsy plastic tray for sprouting seeds or starting seedlings.

We purchased several of these trays for sprouting barley seeds and two of the original order of five arrived already cracked. We received two replacement trays, and have already cracked one of these. These trays will get the job done - they hold seeds, they hold water - but they are very flimsy and unless you're extremely careful with them they will crack. We are only sprouting seeds, I can't imagine how they would hold up if you have the additional weight of soil to contend with. As long as you're very careful with them though and support them across the entire bottom of the tray, you'll probably be ok.

did the job well

not too flimsy of a bottom, better than the cheapos. and it has better draining troughs. only thing i didnt like, they put stickers all over it and there a pain in the ass to get all the way off without messing up the dome, but its possible, just annoying. The vents didnt have air tight seal when closed. but still held humidity fine

Heavy duty and high quality

These are the trays you are looking for. These are thicker than other trays I've ordered (and that are now cracking up after 1 year) and that's what I wanted. Because they are thicker they weigh more. I was surprised how heavy 8 trays are (6 pounds per the shipper). I use trays to grow wheatgrass as well as to hold cut produce from my garden. I am confident these will last for many years.

I like them! thin, but good for starting seed/wheat grass

The only complaint i have is how wasteful they were on the packaging my gosh!! i bought three trays that could easily fit together in ONE SINGLE BOX! yet i got THREE big box's... other then that Awesome trays, Oh and they don't have holes in the bottom of the trays, so you'll have to do that yourself.

Great for bottom watering seedlings!

These are decent trays, I've able to pick one up and move it while holding 10 4" tetra cotta pots/seedlings inside. The tray was a bit flimsy, but by having my hands on a couple pots below, I was able to move the tray. I use the tray mostly to bottom water my seedlings to keep them from drying out. Works well. Arrived in good condition too. Went back and reordered some more.

Great value for drip trays

These are some massive trays for the value, the plastic was very solid compared to the ones from the dollar stores.

NOT 7.8 inches tall, Is a standard 1020.

Was looking for a higher sidewall tray to do microgreens, bought 30 just to try out, says 7.8 inches tall but is only a standard 1020. Thin. Flimsy. Recycling.
