strong, functional, be gentle with handles

I purchased a set of these years ago. I had to search to find them again now. These are Iris latching handles plastic file boxes. They nest on top of one another. They are translucent, so I put post it notes on the inside facing out as labels. The handles are rounded and comfortable for lifting when they are heavy and full, and the handles latch to keep the top secured. I broke a handle in a move and recently asked Iris if they sell replacement handles. No response yet but I'm hopeful. These are a good value for a set of 4. I love these file boxes. They have runners along each edge for hanging files, either letter or legal sized paper.

Hard plastic

I was trying to do the end-of-the-year at work so I ordered multiple packs of these because I needed at least 10 totes in order to pack up my end of the year. I got lucky and unlucky they came for the pack open. The first pack three were good one was cracked in multiple pieces open the second box it was the same way. The third box of four were normal and they were not broken so I still had enough to pack up my paperwork, but at least I still had enough to do my paperwork so my point is if you’re buying exactly what you need you may want to order extra not packaged well enough to protect it

Cost effective storage totes (watch prices before buying!)

At the time I ordered this, it was about $37 for the 4-pack back in 2020. Fast forward to 2023, it appears to be $60 for the 4-pack. I would wait for these to drop down in price as $15/ea is pushing it for the value (IMHO). These are good quality file storage totes for general office files. They stack well and have not bent/flexed (but I do not overstuff them). If kept indoors, they should last a long time.

Check for cracks

I liked the form and general sturdiness that I have ordered 3 sets. The 2nd set arrived with a cracked lid. Ordered a replacement which had a couple cracks. Ordered a 3rd set which at least one crack. At least I was able to get enough pieces and return a defective set. Bottom line is make sure to check all the pieces for any cracks. They otherwise feel sturdy enough.

Perfect for what I needed it for, but came damaged.

I only needed 2 of the 4 boxes to make memory boxes for the kids. It works great for that. Standard hanging files fit perfectly inside. Lids snap on fine. They stack nice. But when opening the box, one of the lids came damaged (see photos) even though the shipping box was not damaged. Otherwise I would've given it a 5 star review.

Good boxes but they don't seal at all

I'm mostly happy with these boxes, but they really do not seal at all. So dust & bugs may eventually find a way in. I haven't had a problem with that yet, but I expect to eventually find dust, dirt & bugs in these boxes with my papers.

Good but one lid came broken

Items were just as described and will work well for the purpose I bought them for. Unfortunately though, one of the five box lids arrived broken so I won’t be able to utilize the lid… kind of defeats the purpose.

As advertised

They are okay. When I first got these, I didn't need them until I had time to use them (2 weeks away) so I left the box unopened. When I did open them, 3 out of 4 were broken. The box did say fragile but the corners were shattered. I immediately asked for a replacement and got an RMA. The next day I took them to UPS to return. The next day my replacement was shipped and it hot here 4 days earlier than quoted. Very pleased with their reaction time and customer service. Just know that the corners are brittle or easily broken so these are definitely not heavy duty but for the light duty I'll be putting them to use, they should be fine.

3/4 Arrived Intact

Great look and size. I intend to use them as memory boxes and have yet to put the file folders and items in them. One at orange container arrived with the handles not attached. It wouldn’t have been too big of a deal because they are easy enough to reattach, but one of the handles is cracked. The other three appear to be in good shape. Overall, I think they’ll do the job.

Definitely worth it.

These were bought so I could make a memories bin for my 4 kids. I labelled files inside from infant through to gr.12 and then photos, milestones, awards, extra curricular, and keep important documents in each file. The Pearl white is perfect, and the size is perfect for fitting on the shelf in each bedroom closet.
