Easier to grip than I hoped

I read some of the reviews, and was happy to see all the negative reviews complaining about it being hard to grip: that the handles are too thick and that they rotate. That's exactly what I was looking for. It's easy to look like a reverse Popeye when weightlifting, since all the weights have handles that're so easy to hold. I went rock climbing a few times, and (aside from lack of skill) it was obvious my grip was my weakest link. But these handles are on the small size. I can get my fingers all the way around so that my thumb overlaps with the other fingers. This makes it easy to hold, so the rotation isn't really an issue. My fat gripz are much more challenging. With them, there's about a 2 inch gap between my thumb and index/middle finger, so I'd really have to squeeze hard to hold on. With the fat gripz, I can curl my hands and grip it that way, relying more on flexing the forearms than gripping. I tend to do this, but it's still a pretty good workout. I'd thought rotation would make this more difficult, but there's no need to do that at all here, so the rotation seems (unfortunately) like a non-issue. Making exercises difficult is the point of workout equipment!

Great except for one thing…

Love these and that I can rotate my hand position while actively performing a pull-up. It prevents shoulder discomfort that I can sometimes get from using a flat bar and feel like I get a better contraction. However I wish the actual grip part didn’t spin, as in the part you actually hold onto. If you use straps it’s great, but otherwise you will probably get cheated out of several reps because your grip will give before your lat muscles do from trying to fight your hands rolling off the entire time. I use straps so it’s and easy fix, but if they come out with an updated version that fixes that issue, I would buy again to eliminate the need to use straps.

Perfect for seal rows

The media could not be loaded. I bought these specifically for doing seal rows with a bar. They work perfect as you can see in the video. I like that the grips are thicker than standard and that they are hard rubber instead of a foam. The rotation is perfect so I can switch from over grip to undergrip. And also keeps me from putting my body in a locked in position. Seems thick, and sturdy enough to hold quite a bit of weight. These have a added so much more variation in my workout for a low price

Would be five star

Handles are too thick. I guess if you wanna get the extra grip work in, but they are basically the same a fat gripz. Oh well….will still use, will still recommend but with one main caveat.

I am shocked out how sturdy these are

The handles are big and thick and they rotate, so it adds a dimension of difficulty to your workout to stay hanging on it (requiring increased grip strength) This was a great value addition to my pull-up bar.

Great quality and very sturdy

Very well-built pull-up handles, with nice thick grips (that freely rotate) and a rubberised texture over the hooks that go over your pull-up bar so it doesn’t scrape. Worth every penny!

One handle works great exactly as you want (5star) BUT the other one is way to stiff. Do not know how to loosen it. Disappointed.
