Saved the day

For the price, this thing will save your hand and knuckles. As far as the chisel part, it’s just a chisel but took a decent pounding from a solid hammer. Removed bricks and mortar without much trouble, even used it to break and knock out a stripped bolt that wasn’t moving. Just one of those tools everyone should keep around the house “just in case.” No matter if you’re hammering out bricks or chiseling stone, there are lots of uses for that will pay for itself with how often you grab for it for the odd job here and there. May not realize you need a chisel but trust me: once you’ve got it around you’ll wonder why you didn’t have one earlier and one that will protect your mitts and paws.

Very slow to cut retaining wall block

I bought this chisel and a rubber mallet to cut 25 pound retaining wall block. It does work, but it is very slow. I spent $60 on a saw and blade and it's saving a lot of time compared to the chisel, even though I only need to cut about ten blocks.

Handguard is a lifesaver. Chisel works great for concrete.

The handguard saved me from smacking my fingers several times, and the chisel has showed no sign of wear. I would definitely recommend this chisel. I only give this 4 stars instead of 5 because the hand guard became loose after using it a few times, and the chisel would nearly slide out of the handle if the chisel was vertically oriented. I had to apply high-strength adhesive to the inside of the handle, slide it back on to the chisel shaft, and let it dry overnight before I was able to resume my project.

Used this to break up some concrete, worked well and edge held up.

Does and excellent job.

Used it to cut paver bricks. Did and excellent job and showed hardly any wear. Would definitely recommend this tool.

Works well even for amateurs.

I am an amateur, but this works very well. I'm putting in some stone borders around my garden beds. I've been using it to split limestone Rocks to fit and chizeling the ends. Without much experience, I can do it with this and a small sledgehammer. I am getting good results. The included hand guard is a must.
