Great Gift!!!!!

I bought these for my Grand daughter, she loves them. Great gift for the Kiddies that are old enough to have them.

A little girl's dream

I liked this one for my granddaughter because it is made of wood, whereas all the other's I saw were made of plastic & looked so cheap. I purchased one of the plastic kits, it looked very nice, but when I got it the case was broken & some of the beads had fallen out. They were a cheaply made & some of the holes weren't drilled through completely. The only thing I DON'T like about Melissa's and Doug's kit is that once you open it, there isn't anywhere to store the beads.

Great for little hands to practice stringing/fine motor skills

Our 2yr old loves using these to practice stringing beads - we love it for the fine motor skill work she gets in while doing that (our 6yr old also loves designing bracelets and necklaces with this set too). Cute colors, wooden beads with strings that have hard plastic on the ends that allow for easy stringing of beads by little hands. We just have to watch the 2yr old closely while she uses these as most of the beads are small and she’s not past the stage of putting things in her mouth from time to time. Wooden tray has just one large compartment once removed from packaging, it does not have spots for beads to be sorted - it’s just a catch all tray but it’s a good working surface and prevents beads from rolling off table.

Needs to be in a case with lid!!

True Melissa and Doug excellent quality, BUT when you unwrap the case all the hundreds of beads are just sitting in a thin box with no lid! Had to find a fishing lure box in the garage to capture and sort them. Be sure to order a bead case too! Otherwise the granddaughter loves them!

Great variety in this set

Our daughter loves beads and her favorite colors are pink and purple - so this was an ideal pick. We've purchased a number of Melissa & Doug's products before and always been impressed with the quality. These beads are no exception. They are small, but the product clearly states the ages for which these beads are suitable. Our five year old had no problems manipulating them onto the strings. And there are LOADS of beads in the set. What's really nice is the variety (shape, size, texture) - flowers, butterflies, teddy bears, stars, hearts. A few more clasps included in the set would be helpful as we ran out. The storage box is sturdy but it's worth taping the lid when not in use to avoid spills.

Almost perfect

This was a gift for my granddaughter on her 4th birthday & she loved it. She loves all sorts of art activities, so I knew she would like it, but it's always nice, as a grandma, to get something that hits that target so well. The only bad thing about it was that the clasps meant to hold the beads on each end of the cord (and fasten it around your neck) have a really huge hole, meaning you have to tie a ginormous knot to get the beads to stay on.

Wonderful quality and value!

The string in this kit is so easy to use with secured ends to prevent raveling. The string is a nice weight, and it is not warped like cord in most kits. There is a really nice assortment of bead sizes and shapes. I would not have minded some different colors other than pink & purple, but what I received was exactly as advertised so I cannot fault that. It would make a very nice gift, and my 7 year old daughter got many hours of enjoyment out of it!

Better quality than almost all other sets I’ve seen

Far superior quality to almost all other beach sets. Real word and beautiful details. The little one absolutely adores making her jewellery.

It's a really nice craft toy

There is a lot of different beads but also the lace provided to slide the beads makes it easy to slide the beads in, so it's easy for a younger kid with less dexterity to make their own jewelry.
