This tether works great!

The tether attaches firmly to both the hard hat and the high visibility vest.

Very soft and stretchy!

Performed better than expected! PROS -The thin but wide elastic has great stretch and absorbs the shock of the hat falling much better than I would have guessed. I was worried at first for attaching my hat to my radio strap on my vest, fearing that sharp yanks would tear it, but the lanyard has such great stretch it does not. -If your accessory slots are full because you have clip-on ear muffs, since the band is thin and soft, it can be wrapped on the rear side of the hat carriage (out of your line of site) and you won’t feel any pressure points. CONS -Not so much a con but preference, the personal attachment side buckle has a safety button that is pretty stiff, and you must use both hands to undo THOUGHTS & WISHES -Hat-side buckle works great, but double check that the flipping lever closes all the way. -Would have liked the personal attachment side buckle to have possibly been a one-handed operation (next time I’ll try out the Squids 3155Ergodyne Squids® 3155 Clamp Hard Hat Lanyard, Lime which actually has a clip instead). -Remember, you need an attachment point on you somewhere above the belt. I choose my vest radio loops and worked well. I imagine a backpack strap would work great as well.

Wanted a chin strap, this ain't one

Safe and secure

My husband loves these lanyards. He always has one extra on hand, in case he needs to give it away to his guys. The way it attaches to a hard had is very secure and simple. Most hard hats have a slot on each side on the outer part between the two protrusions, which are from the inside support hinges. The lanyard's free end threads through these outside slots and gets snapped to the black hinge. He swears it is a very secure attachment and he hasn't lost one hard had with this lanyard.

Just what I wanted

I do volunteer scaffolding work and needed something to tie my hard hat to my person so I dont knock it off my head and hit somebody else out on the ground. This does the job!

Very useful

I like this lanyard. It is nice and stretchy, so if you catch it while you are working it doesn't pull your hard hat off. It allows you to retrieve your hard hat quickly when it does get knocked or blown off. The quick-release loop end is good for attaching to the shoulder of your safety vest, and the other end clamps back on itself to attach firmly to your hard hat.

Not quite what I had in mind

No way to quickly undo hardhat. Have never seen this design so maybe more user error then anything. No clip to attach to a shirt collar or coveralls so would work with suspenders or some other method.

This is wonderful. It stretches and adjust for a comfortable tightness under my chin.
