Very solid punch

I bought another punch in here. It was a mulwark. That is why I ended up with this one. It is very solid well built. Punches nicely. Do not waste money on the mulwark. Get this one.

I've always had hammer and punches to make marks. This was a great buy and cheap enough that if it ever breaks or goes dull... another one will be added to my cart.

Best Center Punch

I've purchased a lot of center punches over the years and this is the best one that I've found. It lasts for years and is easy to punch. I've even reordered multiple times so I can have them at various stations in my shop.

Wish I had bought this one first.

This is SO much better than the other automatic punches I have used. I wish I had bought this one first. The others were hard to use because they lacked the knob on the end. This one is easier to use and more accurate to boot. It is very well made and I'm sure will last for as long as I need it. I've used it only on wood, so can't speak about its performance on metal.

False Advertising

The product I received was not as pictured. It is not Neiko. There is no brand name on it. It is a knock-off. It is not the quality product it is purported to be. Amazon affiliate purchased from was: Hanyuan Bogin It'll more-or-less work for wood, but not that great, and I suspect the first use on steel would ruin the tip. Fortunately, it is cheap, but I don't like getting swindled. So if I were you, Id buy elsewhere (even another knockoff) just out of principle.

Counterfeit product

The center punch I received was not an authentic Neiko. It is a center punch and it does work but the product is NOT as advertised and is just some sort of imitation. While it may make some buyers happy to have a cheap imitation you are warned that what you get may not be what you see in the photos in the ad.

This is not great.

I bought this more with the thought of using it as a window breaker in my car in case of emergency but I don't even know if it has the strength to break a window. I tried it on a piece of metal to see how strong the spring is and how hard and sharp the tip is and it did nothing to the piece of metal. I tried it on a porcelain coffee mug to see what it would do and the mug shook it off with no problem. My advise is to spend the money and get a good quality punch. I leave it in my car for possible emergencies but I also have other options because I can't trust it to do anything.

Plus puissant que d'autres.

Ce poinçon automatique (12,7 cm) est puissant et marque facilement. Le perçage que l'on veut effectuer commencera à tous coups à la bonne place sans faute puisque la marque est assez profonde. La course variable contrôlée par la rotation de la poignée est bien réelle et donne aisément le choix de la profondeur de la marque dont on a besoin. Je suis heureux de cet achat et je recommande fortement ce poinçon à tous et à toutes.
