Exactly what I needed
Very good filters delivered in a heavy cardboard box to prevent damage to the filters. After learning my lesson in how nominal measurements differ from actual dimensions, I ordered these filters which are 1/8” smaller than the Filtrete filters they replaced. Perfect fit and sturdy construction.

Good Merv rating.....
Ordered the 20x24 size filters....the unit is not a pressing fit therefore. when the furnace comes on, an the fan turn ons one hears a noticaeble loud click as if a door closed. That click is the filter being sucked up off the vent door to the frame. Going to tape filter up to hold it against frame.

This product works... but may be too much...
This is a great product. It works as advertised. This is the second set I purchased. I can't do a scientific study that confirms the level of filtration, but it seems to do the trick. We have multiple animals in my household and constantly vacuum, which creates a lot of fine dust particles/dust throughout the house. These are primarily the allergens I'm trying to avoid getting through our HVAC system. This does the trick. Generally speaking this product is built well and arguably better than the high end branded ones at big-box stores and a cheaper price for the amount of filtration it has. I would recommend. That being said, you need to be mindful of the MERV rating and your home system. The higher is not necessarily better. The higher the filtration, the harder it will be on your blower motor. It may potentially over stress your system if the filtration is too much. I've have read some HVAC tech advises the least amount to avoid this issue to ensure longevity to your system. The product I purchased was rated at 13, which is on the high end of filtration for most homes. Because of this, I replace these more often than recommended. I believe the recommendation is 90 days, but I will do this as little as 60 days depending on the use.

Save money, but likely slightly lower performance
Update: I'm lowering my rating another star due to issues with the sizing. For my 20x24 furnace return, the name brand filter at the local big box store are 19.75 x 23.75, and I've never had an issue with those filters. These Nordic filters are even smaller at 19.375 x 23.375... nearly 3/4" smaller than the stated filter size and 3/8" smaller than the name brand. If the filer shifts over the opening, which happens as the fan cycles on/off, air starts to leak around the side of the filter causing a very loud whistling noise which can be hear throughout the house. I'll use up the filters in the 3-pack by shimming them in the opening, but will be going back to the name brand after that. I bought these (MERV 12) to replace the MPR 9 big brand filers I usually buy from the local big box store. We are in the middle of the wildfires with lots of smoke and ash in the air so most of the local stores are sold out of filters. The MERV 12 and MPR 9 ratings are roughly equivalent, but the Nordic Pure filter has fewer pleats. So assuming the material has equivalent filtering capability, the overall fewer square inches of surface area will mean the filter will not last as long and your furnace will have to work a little harder. This would explain reviews that mention higher static pressure across filter. (I don't have a new big brand filter to directly compare to, but the Nordic Pure filter material also looks a little thinner than I recall the big brand having. So it may be a little denser to make up for that, which may also cause an increase in the static pressure.) As far as longevity, with the current conditions I plan on changing filters a little more frequently than I normally do anyway, and the lower cost will make up for the potentially shorter lifespan. After they've been in use for awhile and I see how it looks on the next filter change, I'll decide if I keep using them. If they don't cause a static pressure issue with your furnace, and you are willing to change them a little more frequently, you can still save a little money compared to paying the premium prices for the big name brands.

Nordic MERV 10? Impossible to know for sure.
No MERV rating indicated on box or filters, unlike on seller's sales pix. I resent having to take important information on faith when we purchasers are paying more fore a higher MERV rating.
