They are definitely thinner than other brands. Threw them on a few spills from oils and diesel, worked amazingly well. Great value for the number in package.

First order was great. Second order not so much.
Doing 3 stars as an average. Ordered one bag earlier in the year when trying to find an alternative to other well known brands that cost way more. That order was awesome! Same quality feeling as more expensive brands and absorbed really well, didn't feel like it was falling apart when you pull on the perforated edge. Enough said, when the bag got low I hit "buy again" direct from same place as last time. Second order came in, instantly can tell they are not the same quality. Thinner or "scratchier" feeling. Don't absorb well, and crumble like really cheap parts store pads. Now the hunt for a CONSISTENT absorbent pad starts again won't be risking it with these again.

Thin so need to use twice the pads as normal
As others have stated these pads are about half the thickness you would expect/want. They do not absorb oils quite as nice as you'd want. They also are a bit fragile. You have to use two or three times the material to do the same job. I'm not saying don't buy them, but keep in mind the 2:1 ratio when price shopping.
