It works!!
It definitely works! Tested it myself on the lowest setting and that was enough! Our dog hasn't come into contact with it as of yet, but I'm confident he'll only touch it once.

Best nights sleep
I bought this product to go across the top of our TV since in the middle of the night our cat would use it as a balance beam to jump on top of our shelves. Consequently waking me up while simultaneously giving me a heart thinking the whole shelf will come crashing down. After only ONE encounter with the mat my cat no longer goes near the TV and I can sleep thru the night. Best money spent! Definitely recommend!!!

Not Durable
These things work - for awhile. Then, for some reason, even after cleaning according to directions, it detects something on it when there isn’t, which activates it constantly until it shuts off. Be aware a hair, or a bit of lint can activate it.

Worked for us.
We tried this ourselves before allowing any animal to get near it. I has quit the zap. So don’t just set it on high. It says indoor use only. We put ours outside but under cover out of weather on a railing that squirrels were using to gain access to our back door, and deck furniture to hang out and look for treats. While cute to start with, it’s become an issue until we found this. They no longer come where they aren’t wanted or even attempt. They now stay out in the trees and yard. Which is perfect!

Loved it until it stopped working
Started out perfectly fine. Now just starts beeping and zapping out of nowhere and takes awhile to stop. Isn’t zapping when it should. Pretty expensive to not work for very long.

Works as described
My cats would not stop getting on this ledge above my staircase. Knocking down my decor. Put this up and it showed they tried getting up there 8 times but I assume they got the point because no attempt in 2.5 weeks since it was installed. Worth it

Love these 4” wide strips
The 4” wide Scat Mats are perfect for curbing counter surfers. One zap and then we turn off the unit but leave the strip. If one of our little angels decides to surf again I just turn the unit on and wait for the culprit to come streaking out of the kitchen. Word gets around and no one else even thinks about that tasty bread. We use the larger Scat Matts at the front door and the doorway to the bathroom. No worry about escapes or TP stealing.

Wow! Worth every penny!
My cat acts like a dog and loves to dig in my giant plant! While putting it together I accidentally tested it out the hard way! WOW! It works like a charm! The only problem is the damn cat is to smart to go near it! Fine by me! Its worth every penny!

Wonderful results when it works right
With a very stubborn cat determined to countersurf, this is the perfect size to prevent jumping up, but still have functionality of your countertops. I've had Ssscat mats before and had hopes that the redesign improved the controller boxes. The closer wires are a definite improvement. After a couple months (did I mention the stubborn cat?!), the unit would trip for no reason, and then go off 3 times then turn off and back on, and repeat the whole process until I pulled the battery or turned the unit off. I replaced the battery, wiped the mat with a slightly damp paper towel to clean any debris that might be causing an issue, checked connections, reconnected it and it would work for half a day, or until it was legitimately tripped. Then the continuous cycle starts again. So annoying, and utterly useless functioning like this. When it did work, the cat knew the warning beep meant business and he would take off, however he eventually did discover that the controller box did not shock him so he could push it off the counter, and have free reign on the countertop. I used double sided tape to secure it. So when this device works, I love it and would recommend it. The fact that it malfunctions in the first couple months doesn't make it an economical solution, as replacing it even two or three times a year just doesn't make financial sense.

Does it job but its a bit pricey
This works well for the cat to not go onto the window ledge to scratch the frame. However, it is quite pricey. It took a couple weeks for the cat to learn not to go onto the ledge.
