These are the good ones!

I read a lot of bad reviews for similar products that tried to duplicate the PLANT IT Yo-Yo. THESE are the real deal. They work smoothly, retract reliably, and keep my tall plants from falling over. I am back to order another box right now!

No good for larger plants like Tomatoes.

Seemed like a smart solution but on balance they were not worth the hassle. I used them for tomatoes in a greenhouse. When the plants were small and with the yoyo at maximum extension the pegs designed to lock the yoyo and stop it retracting were inadequate and I lost several plants when the yoyo's pulled them up. When the plants were larger and heavy with fruit the yoyos weren't strong enough to support the plant. I ended up using 2-3 per plant and eventually had to use string. So, they were a bit of a gimmick and something much more substantial would be required for a plant as big as a Tomato.

Firstly, a great idea on how to support your plants. The product requires a means of attachment to enable support of the plant. It would have a role in a number of circumstances, but not for me; I prefer the cane, and string.

Excellent greenhouse accessory.

I use these extensively in my greenhouse. Fabulous solution for staking up tomatoes and cucumbers. Once in position, they are much more convenient than using other forms of staking. Reasons I didnt give 5 stars : the string is very thin so sometimes need more than one per plant or for heavy fruit. Also I find that if I use the stoppers the elasticity goes and the string no longer retracts. I still love them though!!

Parts missing

Picture of product is a well known product that supplies the yo yo with the pins to keep the length of string locked. Be mindful that this product from this vendor supplies the yo yo product with no pins so essentially making the yo yo useless for my needs.

Great product and good price come with a small bag of plastic dowel's to plug the centre to prevent slipping or moving of the yo yo no complaints here.
